So, what did the family have to say about your hair?

I wore a high ponytail and my brother thought I had weaved ponytail :rolleyes:. I said you know dayum well I don't wear weave. He said well it wasn't that long last time I saw ya :rolleyes:. I had to take my hair down to prove to him it was mine. He just looked :blush: WOW all that hair.

Talk about crunched :lachen::lachen:

My hair gets no comments anymore. Every time they see me I'm in a wig or weave. They know I'm obsessed with my hair, and I keep them abreast of my current length... they're like :yawn: who cares?

I'm thinking I may flat iron for a big reveal at Christmas.

my immediate family and friends loved it!

my aunt and cousin kept asking why while giving me the screw face.

I wore a shoulder length half wig. My cousin who is a hairdresser came up and touched my hair and said "is that all yours it looks so natural'? Before I could answer my brother says "Yeah thats her hair!" lol. Anyway I simply said no its not all mine "I got some help" my brother was like, "well it look good on you it fits you."
But I was thinking hopefully next Thanksgiving when I run into her and she asks the same question, which she will, I can proudly say, yes its all mine hefa!!

My Dad was caught off guard when I went w/ a SL perm to a BC in 1 day....However, now that my hair is long again (this time natural), he is quick to tell me how much he LOVES my hair and my twistouts.

My Mom and MIL went natural a few years after I did. And they both tell me THANK YOU for motivating them to do it.

I didn't go out for Thanksgiving because I was sick with strep, mono and pink eyes.

But my family is like, "your hair is so longggg." And I'm like, "No, it isn't." And they are like, "What! You don't think so?"

And the "you should wear your real hair more often" I don't really get these comments anymore cause' they already know it isn't happening and have accepted it. If I would've listened to them I wouldn't be at BSL now.

I received compliments on my bun from my stepmother and her aunt. "It's very becoming"

My mother complained about me not having a relaxer in nearly three months. She complained and complained that it was nappy and that I needed to relax immediately. I told her no and said I wasn't relaxing until right before Christmas whether she likes it or not. She'll be alright lol.

Well, I've been hiding my hair, although I have been keeping some abreast with my progress, but I'm not going to do that anymore. I'm planing for a big reveal I want to see everyones reaction next Christmas. I'm on the waist length by end of 2009. I've never been beyond an inch past shoulder, now I'm an inch and one half away from APL.

Can't wait!:lick::yep:

I did a flexi rod set and my mom asked me if I was wearing a weave (she knows I don't like them). When we went to my uncle's house, his wife kept looking at my hair. Later on, she said she was wondering how to ask me if it was mine. :grin::grin:

I'd straightened my hair. Most of my fam prefer it "natural" looking. My mom tells me straight hair makes me look "regular". haha

I received a ton of speaches about how everyone misses the afro. I loved the way you rocked the effortless chic.....I loved how your hair went on for days.........I loved how could do that mohawk thing..........that was so you.

Then my Dear Hubby jumped on board and threw a million questions about why I relax my hair. It never gets straight. It's so pricey. I miss the curls and those puffy things you used to wear with scarfs. All this from the man that dated girls who wore relaxers and hair weaves to their midback before me.

I love them all but I do with my hair what I want. When I get tired of all this hair (and I will soon) I will cut it off.

I was wearing a braidout.My Sister said"Are you really going out of the house like that".She then proceeded to tell me that she hates short hair(I'm SL but mine is longer than hers minus the weaves she wears.)..And that short hair does not look good on women..then she said that she was going to get a weave that was curly like mine next week.....WTf?..HATER..First she talks trash and then she wants her hair to look the same....:wallbash:

Thanksgiving my Uncle and Aunt came over. I had my hair pressed (just because:grin: and to length check). I wore it in a high pony...It was really pretty and long :grin: (I was really proud of it actually, because all of my hard work so far has been paying off).. Anyways. My uncle was teasing me and was like "Oh, nice horse hair". Then teased some more "Don't worry, I'll grow my hair that long too and pass ya" :lachen:He likes to joke.
My aunt touched it and complimented me on it.
