Phyto 7 and Phyto 9 leave ins get rave reviews from women with dry, brittle and or relaxed hair. I personally like the Phyto 7 as a backfill for my Giovanni Direct Leave in...The Phytospecific intense nutrition shampoo and conditioner and the vital force creme shampoo and conditioner are also good. I find the vital force creme prods very moisturizing. Oh, Phytodefrisant works wonders too. It is excellent at reducing frizz in the hair and keeping it straight....I sometimes apply after I put my leave in on my hair and before rollersetting. Using that with the Phytorelaxer, I haven't seen any frizz to my hair even when it is wet. Phytodefrisant really complements Phytorelaxer......

What's good??? Tell me what isn't!!! I think you all know my broken record, but here it is again.
Phytodefisant is the best product on the market!!! It's amazing.
Phytobaume is a wonderful moisturizing conditioner (light protein), it's on the lighter side, but detangles like a miracle. Phytosesame is a heavier conditioner, but leaves my hair super moist and soft, it's loaded w/shea and cocoa nut butter. I think it works best w/heat. It also makes tangles a thing of the past.
Phyto 9 does wonders on dryness and is super light and undetectable after use, leaving only softness behind.
I use Phytojoba shampoo, b/c my Sephora doesn't carry the PhytoSpecific line. I like it though. It's not overly sudsy and is rich in jojoba oil so it leaves moisture behind too.
I have the PhytoSpecific relaxer too. My stylist used an Index 1, mild, and texturized my hair. I saw a few negative reviews of it here before I got it done, but I have had no adverse effects and am very happy w/it. It's the only product I ever plan to use to texturize my hair.
Also, I love the vitamins, Phytophanere. I don't have the discipline to take 3-4 supplements, so I get everything I need from them!!
I've only been using the product line for 3 mos, but I plan to use it for a long time.

But my hair will not be denied.
I started going to Beauty First instead of Sephora and Neiman's b/c at least I'm earning dollars for my pricey purchases!
I still have a short list of products I want to try.
I can say that they last, esp the Phytodefrisant. I can't imagine needing to buy more for another 6 mos.

One of the ladies here mentioned you can purchase it for $48 at www.beautysak.com.... that's still a bit pricey though.....this formula does not burn or irritate my scalp, it does not cause my scalp to be dry and flake, and it does not cause my hair to shed excessively. Not to mention, my hair is softer with more body....and people are complimenting me on my hair left and right...having said all of that, it is worth the extra cash IMO........

I take it that the active ingredient in this particular no-lye relaxer is different from the active ingredient in other less expensive no-lye relaxers?
I notice your hair is a little finer than mine. I'd say I was a 4b, perhaps a 4a (unsure). Did you use the fine formula or the coarse formula?
When you started with the Phytolaxer, did you do a "corrective touch-up" on the full length of your hair?
I take it that the active ingredient in this particular no-lye relaxer is different from the active ingredient in other less expensive no-lye relaxers?

Phytorelaxer formula contains the ingredient guanidine carbonate that other relaxers contain. The difference is the guanidine is not mixed with a hydroxide that constitute a lye or no lye formula. This is how Phytotherathrie can support their claim that Phytorelaxer is lye free...Since there are no hydroxides (lye) in their formula, it makes it a bit milder on the scalp. the guanidine works with egg and soya extracts to perform the straightening effect. My hair has never been so straight with body at the same time. Guanidine carbonate, however, is a caustic chemical....
My hair type is 3c/4a.....I did not do a corrective relaxer..My stylist applied Phytorelaxer to my roots only....I used PHytorelaxer Index 2 for regular/coarse hair......

It silkens your hair, so if you wear it curly it controls frizzing and if you wear it straight it makes it more sleek w/o weighing it down. My hair is so bouncy and alive when I blow out w/it. I don't think it claims to detangle, but that's why I won't be w/o it. I can run my fingers through my hair after I apply it and it's cut shedding in half. It also used to take me 40 mins to detangle (this stuff is as thick as it looks!) and even before I texturized I could do it in half the time. I'm down to 2-3 mins now.

I have yet to try these products, I am making myself use my old stuff up first, but as soon as it's gone I am going to run out and buy these products. If you're interested in the Phytospecific line; you can buy that at beauty.com
