I did my first wash today.
Well, actually I did an overnight DC followed by a co-wash.
I was amazed how my curls just POPPED after the DC
When my hair was still sopping wet, I applied some Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Style Conditioning Milk and followed with some Carol's Daughter Tui Jojoba Shea Butter Sheen . . . used both in my pre-BC wash and go's.
My hair is soft and beautiful . . . the only thing is that my curl pattern kinda looks like a jheri curl
So, I salvaged the look with a headband/fascinator. I think tonight I will try to twist or finger coil or something, sleep on it, and the see what I've got in the morning.
Either way, I'm still pleased
LOVIN' MY NATURAL HAIR!
Here are some pics throughout the process . . .
After the overnight DC
Freshly co-washed (from the side)
Freshly co-washed . . . from the front. (When I first got the BC, one of the stylists complained that my stylist didn't cut enough in the front and that I still had some relaxed ends up there. As you can see, she was right. So I went ahead and grabbed a scissor and handled my business.)
Brushed back my edges with some aloe vera, added a fascinator to complete the look. (Sorry that it's sideways . . . don't know how to fix it!)
ETA - Paging Nonie, whom I've anointed my natural hair care big sista!
