So I finally tried NTM Silk Touch, and....

i actually loved it
it made my hair really soft

but then...it just didnt work for me anymore
i've bought and tried it a couple times
and nope...nothing...just stopped.

This is stuff did nothing special for me. Not too wild about the smell either. I thought that I just needed to stick with it but it makes my hair dull too. My rollersets come out soft but dull. I think I will go back to Salerm 21 B5

I can feel my hair moisturize if I use it at least every other day. Maybe your hair needs it more than once.

I love my NTM, but I see what you (and the OP) are saying as far as the "dull" component. I use it to soften my hair and not necessarily give shine. I have only used it on wet hair.

When I rollerset, I usually mix about a quarter size amount with a drop or two of my Aveda Brilliant serum. The serum is what gives me the shine and slip.

If I am blowdrying, I just use the leave in and skip the serum until after I have styled to add shine.

yeh..i have to use my serums for a lil shine. Ive never really had shine in my hair my entire life.
as far as the smell ..to me it has no smell. not sure why ladies hair is smelling like fish.
I get the best results from ntm when i immediately tie a scarf on right after applying it..even if only for a few minutes. it really helps it absorb and hair comes out so soft and silky. I then apply jojoba oil over it for a finishing effect.
sorry it didn't work for u ladies..i really like it a lot.
but not every product raved is going to work on our hair. it takes awhil to find that perfect product..some never find it..some find it then realize it stops working after awhile.
I have tried soo many products and wanted soo bad to like them. over and over i kept using the ORS replenishing pak and chi silk infusium and nothing.. i hate them. i also tried that giovani direct leave in and shampoo...didn't like that either.
I love my Rusk smoother as my leave in.

Oh my LAWD!!!!! I can't BELEIVE it! I didn't think there was ANYONE who didnt like ORS Replenishing Pak, that stuff is like soup for the soul!!!

I went out looking for Rusk smoother and I saw a bunch of stuff. Sylver, we are in the same area... can you tell me which store and where you get yours from?

Maybe that's why it worked for me when i use it. That's what I did.

I hated it...I switched to the Nourishing Creme (Jane Carter) and haven't looked back
However the NTM Silk Touch works better on my one daughter's 4a hair than me and her sister's 4b hair

I've used this everyday for two years...love it!! I use jojoba oil to seal it, but have used a serum. Try sealing with a serum if that's what your hair likes.

I seal with a serum and it works great for me on dry hair.
