So I Finally Tried KimmayTube's Retail Leave-In Product

Comparing it to the homemade version, I can't say that I'm impressed with the product. I really had high hopes for it. Have you tried it? What do you think of it and her other products?

I tried the homemade version, and it did nothing spectacular, so I had no urge to try the retail product. I know other folks have tried the line and like it.

my hair hated the homemade version. i think it was too protein rich for my strands. thus, i would never buy the commercial version.

i tried the retail version and my hair hated it! my hair felt coated and after a while the product smelled like strawberry yoghurt gone bad!

The kimmaytube leave in was nothing but knot today, aloe juice, and oils. Her actual product is not a 'version' of this. I was surprised she managed to Ph balance her Luv naturals leave in without aloe vera. I know it works quite well for my low porosity friends. I really loved this line..disappointed she was out of stock last year for so long. The scent of the leave-in could be better too.

I only ever made the homemade version cuz I had some Knot Today hanging around. Of course, then I had some Kimmay leave in hanging around after!

The leave-in to me smells delicious. It's like a light strawberry shortcake kind of smell and in my hair it's not overbearing. But ppl have different sensitivities

I liked the homemade version way back when I was a pj and had all the ingredients laying around... since then Ive simplified tremendously so Ive moved on. I wouldn't purchase the retail version

The prepoo detangler has an orangesicle scent, the cleanser is peppermint, the conditioner was vanilla scented, but to me it just didn't come through!! So it smelled like nothing! The leave in was supposed to smell like strawberry..but just so lightly scented. While the scents didn't really wow me. I'm glad I was able to try everything. Her products work really well.

Without all the extras, I find Knot Today to be a pretty good leave in on its own. It's detangling power is ridiculous!!

Someone else mentioned the styling products too on my blog review. Based on my experience with this part of the line, I'll probably pass. And you're right, shipping is crazy. I'm actually in the very next zipcode from where her products ships and I still paid and arm and leg #NoThanks.
