I LOVE Shakina's personality...she's just cute!

JDukes needs a serious haircut, then redo her video.

Remember these are my opinions and I stand by them:blush::lachen:

I want some of y'all to apply!!! We have some BEAUTIFUL hair in all lengths and all textures on this board!

Anybody know what winning entails in terms of what you have to allow them (if anything) to do to your hair...other than styling?

So who do you like so far?
 
I really like Kfields too. I thought Malysha's hair was a bit too stiff, and she had poor posture--that really irks me. And as *Michelle* said, that's JUST MY OPINION!
 
I agree with you ladies...I still have a couple more to view (in between house work, here and chatting with my teens).
 
To be a serious competitor jdukes needs to cut several inches off her ends. She'd still have length. Charly and TsyHaye have a flattering cuts. Malysha hair seems over processed.
 
I liked KFields, TsyHaye and CharlyJ. Some of them had damaged hair and I'm unsure why they submitted videos. I did wonder if all of the people used the actual products. Some of them showed their bottles and you could see the indention in them to indicate they had been used. However, others that showed their products looked like they were brand new bottles! Just and observation.

Too bad I stopped using the Hydrating Curls and Ice Shine once I went silicone,sulfate and alcohol free otherwise I would have entered. Only use the Time Renewal Replenishing Mask now! Just looked at ingredients again and I could try the Conditioner since the one cone and alcohol are the last ingredients before the fragrance. Good to know since I still have some in my cabinets!!

I do hope a natural with curly hair makes a submission. But, running your fingers through your curls wouldn't be good at all! Well, they could do it while is was still a little wet and just re-do once they finished the video.
 
I like Tseyhaye hair, her cut is nice and her hair looks healthy.

Hopefully alot more people will enter.

I wondered the same thing. We don't know many of the folks real identities or their names.

I wish them all the best. Some are better than others I just hope if a LHCF member wins she will let us know.
 
This contest is so much fun to watch! I cannot say it enough, but I truly love how versatile OUR hair is! It makes me smile every time. :)
 
I have to agree I liked a lot of the ones I watched. I give Shakina props for sporting a fro and her poem was nice. I hope the ones that are members come on here and ask for support. It'd be nice to know if they are.
 
Here's who I like based on the visual; I haven't listened to everyone's story yet:

My FAVES are:
Kfields - my ABSOLUTE fave of the bunch; gorgeous hair and length; looks really healthy; nice personality; convincing story; great posture; I think she's the total package
TseyHaye - pretty, unique beauty; healthy hair; cute hair cut; representing for the short hair ladies; well spoken.

Others I like:
Astanford - pretty face & bouncy curly hair
Spiinelly - love the shape of her hair; okay story
CharlyJ - i like her hair cut too; her hair looks healthy; was she chewing gum? i like her story and personality a lot.
Jdukes - very pretty; great posture and long hair; agree .. could use a trim.
Gperez - very pretty; her hair is lovely; not much of a story though. me thinks she's in the contest more for the modeling opportunity (just my opinion though).

Comments about others:
Cbrown - did she follow all the directions? i didn't see hair flip action. her story could've been worked a little more. i do commend her for surviving breast cancer and growing her hair back though. that is no small accomplishment at all. it looks healthy.
Malysha - lovely personality. agree with the stiffness of her hair.
Shakina - I like that she's representing for the "cottony" naturals; that's about it. I wish there were more applying to this contest; come on nappy LHCF ladies!! :grinwink:
 
gperez16 sounds like Shima to me :) Her hair is pretty.

Marshellaa - pretty hair
CharlyJ - nice hair, chewing her gum like a champ!

There are so few videos. I wonder why.
 
My favorites so far:

aaliyahsangel043 - Beautiful thick hair with lots of volume. I like her different hair styles.

gperez16 - Pretty healthy looking hair. When she turned to the side and I saw her length I said "wow".

Marshellaa - Pretty hair. She looks kinda like Natalie Cole.

jdukes - Either her hair grows in unevenly or she has breakage like she said. Her hair looks great, but she would need a trim to be in a Pantene ad.

astanford9 - Pretty bouncy curls. I thought it was funny when she said her split ends have "all gone 'bye" and she laughed.

spiinelly should do another video with better lighting. It's hard to really see her hair.

Kfields - Very pretty hair. I like how it's styled.

cbrown5530 - Beautiful hair, great volume & thickness. I wish she would have been closer to the camera though. I'm glad to hear she survived breast cancer.

Shakina - I like seeing someone with type 4 hair wearing her hair natural.

TSeyHaye - Beautiful hair, great haircut.
 
Hello ladies I will be entering, but I need to re-record it, because it was not good enough! I don't know how I compare to these ladies but i'll give it a try!
 
I wish I could enter, but I'm not taking out my weave until next month. I see Leobody from BHM has entered. She has gorgeous hair.

ETA: I would love to see someone with natural 4a/4b enter and place!

Go Shakina! Loved her video. I also liked Jdukes hair. They can give her a trim, if they think she needs one :yep:.
 
gperez is very pretty and has nice long hair.

my favorite head of hair is aliyahsangel aka april. Love her hair.

Adina has nice curls with a nice shape. She'd be great to represent their curls conditioner.

Kfields has pretty big curls that are nicely cut.

Leobody's hair is gorgeous, I've seen her YouTube videos, too.

I wish there were more type 4 naturals. Shakina's hair seems to lack shape.

If I had to place bets, I'd say kfields will win.
 
OMG! I'm officially in love with Leobody's hair!!! I can't wait until my natural hair gets like that!
 
I love leobody's hair and style- she should def win.
I also like Marshella, kfields, and gperez.

Some others should have known better
