Look at all that hair. That is all broken sad hair. I was complaining about that sucky conditioner, well it ravaged my hair. I don't understand how a conditioner can cause so much damage.:nono: That's not all the hair I lost. That's just what a took a pic of.

I had tons of knots all over my head. Some I had to pick out with a safety pin and the others I had to cut out. My hair is APL in some places and past MBL in others.

I don't even know how to recover from this. It's still a hot crunchy mess! I'm thinking about cutting it all off.:cry2:View attachment 163399

Sorry that you are going through this, but this does not look extreme. But I guess you would no the normal amount of hair that you lose. I lost way more than that during one wash from stretching. Just moisturize it and give it rest. You have beautiful hair so I'm sure you will bounce back from this.

Seems like everything you named had protein in it and that 3rd pic def looks like a protein overload. STEP AWAY FROM THE DEEP CONDITIONERS and look for something that has no protein in it. Just moisture. Ever tried Nexxus Phyto Organics Humectin Extreme Moisture Conditioner? I use this directly after my protein treatments.

I didn't know those conditioners were all protein.:nono: I have some of the Nexxus in my stash.

Have you tried some type of oil rinsing OP? I think that conditioner may of had a lot of protein in it. Your hair must not like hard protein. I used a high protein conditioner before and my hair was so crunchy :perplexed I slathered it with some Aussie moist and olive oil mixture, sat under the dryer and got major slip. Since then I try to make sure I read conditioner bottles and I hate when companies don't specify when their conditioners are filled with protein.

How is your hair feeling now Leona?

My hair is feeling normal as far as softness, but it's super thin at the ends and I kinda of have a w going on.:ohwell: I'm still waiting to decide if I will cut or let it be. I don't wear my hair down or straight. I usually airdry and style.

I'm allergic to most oils. They break me out. I did put on some plain blue magic grease and my breakage has stopped a bit. I guess my hair doesn't like hard protein, I use light and medium proteins all the time. I wouldn't think protein would be in a smoothing conditioner, but I have learned my lesson.
