It's funny, because I was looking at your album on Friday to see if you posted your updated pics yet :sekret:  because my hair is about the same lenght as yours in your April pics, is also fine, and in dire need of a trim on the bottom, which I also plan on doing once my hair reaches about an inch past the BS as well.

Very pretty! Your hair is gorgeous, and congrats on your progress! :D

Your hair is absolutely beautiful!!!!! It's so healthy looking!!!!! Whatever you are doing don't stop!!!! Keep it up!!!

Geesh, I need to be taking notes from you. Nice hair! :D You've made good progress in 6 months. What type of relaxer do you use?

Gorgeous! And your hair is growing so quickly, too! You were my inspiration to start using MTG (just got my bottle last week). My strands are also fine and it's really encouraging to see how well you are growing your hair. Keep it up! :o

 Girl we must be hair twins, because that is exactly my story!!!!

Thanks ladies!!! Glad I could be inspiration for the fine-haired ladies, and others as well!!!!

I use a no-lye, mild, gentle-treatment relaxer by Johnson & Co. I'd never heard of it before..... its the only no-lye gentle treatment relaxer they have at the Dominican salon I go to......

Wow Kini!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!:dance7: :yay: :bouncy: :bdance: :weird: :bouncegre

As you can see I'm having a party over here looking at your pics!
I think my hair will look like yours when it grows up.

Once again congrats!

BTW can you update us on your regimen?

Thank you girl!!!!!!! :yay:

Sure, no problem.... my regimen has gotten pretty simple:

1) Wash and deep condition (with avocado cream condioner) at Dominican salon 1x weekly, on Friday.

2) Mon-Thurs MTG scalp..... and moisturize ends with ORS Olive Oil or Cantu Shea Butter: Break Cure & Strengthening Treatment (both of these are water-based). Then I seal ends with some type of oil, ie, KeraCare Essential Oils or Tea Tree & Aloe Anti-Breakage Scalp Therapy by Isoplus .

3) Protect my ends.... I usually wear a bun every day

4) I take 3 vitamins, 2x daily:
Nioxin Intensive Therapy Recharging Complex
Flax Seed Oil 1000
Futurebiotics Hair, Skin & Nails

PLUS

MSM Powder

I touch up every 8-9 weeks..... and 1-2 weeks after that touch-up I do an Aphogee treatment plus homemade conditioner. I do the Aphogee treatment the Thursday before I go to the salon on Fridays...... and after towelling my hair dry I saturate it with a water-based moisturizer, put on a plastic cap and scarf..... and bun it to sleep. By the time I go to the salon the next day, my hair is still a bit damp, but quite soft and supple. It comes out really shiny and silky after this roller set.

Ive cut out the co-washing.... Im too lazy to keep up with that, plus I realize that my hair thrives most when it is not manipulated. Ive minimized combing.... I try to comb once, maybe twice, a week. Each night I take out my pins, shake my hair loose, MTG and moisturize, then rebun. I sleep with my hair baggied Mon-Thurs.

Thats all folks!!!!!!! :p

Nice and simple! I like that very nice! For the most part I've simplified my regimen as well. I'm weaving it up right now. So there's no manipulation with the hair that braided up. I'm working on ways now to minimize manipulation and heat on the hair that is left out. I'm going to be washing it for the first time on Wednesday night. Pray for me :).

Yep! No manipulation gets it done!

But anyways, I was waiting for your updates. I think you will be BSL by the end of Next month. Also, I don't think you need a trim. Maybe a slight dust.

But your hair is so gorgeous, lush, and silky! I am so excited for you. You have inspired me so much. Good Job!

Great work Kini! I commented on your fotki but I wanted to comment on here too. Your hair looks awesome, your hair is VERY ,if not already ima, soon to be all grown up. you grow girl hhg:)
