I need youropinions. We are having African Heritage Day in Church tomorrow. I would like to wear a Gele tomorrow. However, sometimes people at church trip and I don't want to block anyone's view. Then on top of that I will be sitting in a different location tomorrow because I have to do the announcements. I wish that I was on the pulpit with my sister. She is doing the call to worship. Should I just go ahead? It's not real big.

Zeal, wear it... But wrap it low. It doesn't have to be wrapped with the height. Actually, wrap it low and allow the tied ends to drape and to hang low on the side of your head below your ear. It's a beautiful effect.

You can 'work' this and be absolutely 'stunning.'

I remember reading this thread a while back, and had to dig it up, because my older sis gave me an outfit over the holidays that her friend brought back from Nigeria. The gele isn't too big (so I guess I don't have 'rank'?? ).

Seriously, I'm using You Tube to learn how to wrap it. My sis has been wearing those outfits for years but she lives in another state, so I'll have to learn to do it myself.

I hope you enjoyed wearing yours!

Thankfully, there are many sisters in my church who wear those outfits all the time. I may just approach someone on Sunday for help, since this will be my first time wearing one.
