Lately I've noticed sooo many SSKs in my hair. :( I didn't plan on trimming again until my 1 year natural mark which is in 3 months. Should I trim and cut the knots out now, or can I wait with no ill effects?

I don't know if there is a good answer for this. For me, before I recently texturized, as I got more length, the single strands knots just kept coming no matter if I trimmed or not. If I didn't trim, they would just become double/triple/quadruple strand knots, if I did trim I would just get more knots within the next couple of weeks anyway.

Are there so many that you can not do the search and destroy method? Just cut off the ends with the single strand knots?

This is what I ended up doing, but there was so many of them it was like a mini-trim. I cut about 1/4-1/2 of an inch.

I do a s&d when I see or feel them but their are hard to avoid if your hair has any texture.
