Single in China: At What Cost?

:O I had no idea. I wonder if it's like that in the country side opposed to the big cities?

It's like that everywhere in China.

I remember seeing a special on how people deal with having babies out of wedlock there. And they go through to hide the pregnancies and the babies. Most eventually have to give the children up.
 
:yep: I remember reading somewhere that China has the highest levels of abortions in single women. :ohwell: I guess this helps explain why. :(

I think she mentioned she was in Beijing. So I'm wondering about the country. I know there would be social stigmas, I can assume ostracization but I wonder if there is any differences. Would it be even worse? Could they go to school? What not.

I think she said out of wedlock children arent recognized by the government. That would include going to school, etc....Its so sad :nono:
