naturals who are 4a or 4b how long was your hair when u was able to make a single braid? i'm asking because i'm still not able to make a decent single braid because i have alot of shinkage especially when my hair is wet and my goal is to wear my hair in a single braid one day. maybe when i get to brastrap length thats when i will be able to do one. i'm just curious to know. thanks in advance.

*bump*

Oh! I'd love to know this too!

I'd say when it covered my neck, just before shoulder for a low pony.

Yeah shoulder length is about right. But I never braid of any kind on wet hair. I have to braid my hair when it's totally dry.

do you mean stretched or unstretched?

I'm natural and I think I have to wait for middle back lenght to be able to do this because of shrinkage. I'm shoulder lenght.

Apologies Ladylibra, I missed this. Unstretched, because I was talking about braiding a single braid when wet.

I'm natural also, but my hair grows pretty evenly. Maybe that makes a difference, I don't know. Right now I'm a little past APL, but have been able to make a single braid wet since I was barely shoulder. :)
