looks like i'll be missing out on this one... i live in london and our summer time came and went a long time ago. i swaer it only lasted one month. i guess there will be no weather induced growth spurt for me.

I'm not doing anything special. Just continuing to exercise good hair care and allowing nature to take its course.

Since school is out, I've been giving my hair as much attention as I can  . I do co-washes daily and massage my scalp every evening when I get off work! I use Queen Helen's Tea tree oil on my ends and scalp and then do the co-wash. I've been taking vitamins and even try to exercise at tad bit. I know that school is starting up in one week, and I'm not going to have as much time for my hair as I do now :( . I'll still wash at leaset every three days and do a deep conditioning once a week :ohwell: !

What is everyone doing to maximize hair growth this summer??

Actually, my hair grows faster in the winter (go figure!). But for some strange reason, this summer my hair has grown a considerable amount. If all goes well, I'll be at bra strap in a few months (April 2006 the latest -- I hope!)

The only thing that I can think of is that I have scaled my regimen way down.

No pre-poo
Shampoo 1x
Mix coconut oil w/any con that I have (no heat - just plastic bag for 30 min - 1 hour)
Rinse out
Spray Leave-in
Blow dry or air dry
Flat iron or wear curly

Plus, I use WGO every night and make sure that my roots, hair and ends stay moisturized. No crispy ends for me!:lachen:
:)

absolutely nothing. I haven't done it in so long. I just throw my scarf on every night and get up and go. Its been so hot. I leave it out and just tuck it behind ears and keep throwing jojoba oil on it everyday. Its been growing. Last touchup July 1st. Next one Septemeber 10.

Same as usual:

*CO Washes
*Protective Styles
*Deep Conditioning
*Air Drying
*Moisturizing

I will start using MTG once I get it in the mail. :)

Not doing anything worth mentioning. I just continue to work out several days a week and wash once during the week. Also keeping my salon appointments (relax every 8 weeks). I love my hairdresser and she loves my hair. :yep:

Nothing really...co washing seems to help though :) not with the growth..but just for maintaining my hair period.

hmm nothing really either... before June i had this whole plan of what i was going to do, but i didn't do most of it. I washed twice a week for a while, but since I started school last Monday, it becomes harder because i have band practice after school and when i come back home, i'm really tired. Well it's only been a week, i know i will go back to washing twice a week, and maybe sometimes more when we have football games *i end up sweating A LOT!*

So far, band has helped with my growth. it's been 3 weeks since band started, and at 10 weeks post, I already had 1.5" on new growth. I don't get a relaxer for another 3 weeks and i'm hoping to get another .5" of new growth... hopefully :look: so yeah, sweating a lot has helped and i'm trying to keep my hair moisturized in the summer heat.

Nothing special. I poo & condition wkly or whenever it starts feeling icky... then I'll do a wet braid. That's it. Been too lazy to do anything else...

I just swung by GNC and picked up the Nourish Hair vits. I'm going to start back taking these to maximize the possible growth. I've been slacking and i don't see the same amount of growth I do when i take vits.

i will also stop being lazy and go to the hair cuttery for a rollerset more often.

Nothing special. Just keeping my scalp clean by washing once per week and keeping my hair either cornrowed or braided up, moisturizing daily and leaving it alone. The less I do to my hair in the summer or anytime of the year the better and it grows super fast that way.

Started exercising, taking biotin(recently) and more frequent washes so that its' not dirty. And product usage is simple. Wearing buns, etc.
