What is yor secret to gaing silkier hair

My secret to silky hair is that i relax with dudleys regular (lye, and very good i might add) about every 3 months. I ALWAYS drink water. In general i find that products with ingredients such as olive oil or any other natural oil increases sheen and makes my hair silkier.

Good conditioners (regular, deep & leave-in) and good moisturizers. Frequent moisturizing (a couple of times a day esp on ends). I'm finding my hair really loves the moisture. Also washing twice a week keeps my scalp from getting dry (one shampoo wash and one condition wash).

I believe my eating habits (Fish, chicken, whole grains, tons of water, vitamins, fruits, veges, and anything healthy) have played a part in the silkiness of my hair. Monthly hot oil treatments, weekly deep conditioning, and AO Aloe vera gel in my leave-in are some of the things that contribute to the silkiness of my hair!

I've noticed that natural ingredient products leave my hair silkier along with 100% Jojoba Oil. Whenever I use rosemary oil on my hair, my hair seems to hardened. But the Aubrey poos and cons along with the jojoba oil seems to be all I need right now.

I've also had good results with natural oils for silky hair. I've noticed a few women on this board use coconut oils and coconut milk for silky hair

I love coconut oil on my hair!

OT: when I read "poos and cons" in 72792's I had to laugh. Sounds like "pros and cons." The lingo and abbreviations we develop around here are funny sometimes. no-poo. LUST. And thanks to the confessional thread, getting "legs stretched."

a plain ole wash and set with a good conditioner and a little creme or oil gives me silky shiny hair. For extra shine ansd silk I might add some Keracare high sheen glosser to my wrap. That works wonders

, I got that tip from a Dominican spot. I think it works better on a wet roller set though.

Coconut oil and coconut milk really work well for me. I add the coconut milk to my conditioners and a put a light coating of oil on my hair before airdrying.

LUST, KMS Silker Leave-in and Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture creme (used as a leave-in) all give me silky hair.
