So I removed my Senegalese twists yesterday after 5 weeks due to my edges hurting:perplexed... I picked up some Silk Elements cholesterol and mayo (beige bottles) to use after the process.

I am natural, 3c/4a mixture

PRETREATMENT : Before I even detangled I sprayed my hair with water and applied the cholesterol with olive oil on scalp and ends. then started to detangle. my hair was really easy to detangle. a few hard tangles but my hair really softened up. I let that sit for 45 minutes before I washed

WASH: with nexxus therapee lathered twice

Deep condition: my hair was already soft, but I needed a deep conditioner/restorative treatment. SO I applied the mayo and combed through. my hair was even softer at this point. Left this on for about an hour under shower cap.

Overall. I will keep these conditioners in my arsenal because any conditioner that can soften my hair after braids is a keeper:spinning:. and they are AFFORDABLE!:lick:

I haven't tried the mayo but I love the SE moisturizing treatment and the cholesterol. I have about 10 jars of the trmt and about 5-6 of the cholesterol. I notice they are raising the prices though. :ohwell: Have you tried the treatment? It's really good. I haven't tried the green bottles only the beige
