How much do you add to your DC's?

I want to just give my hair a light shot of protein. My hair doesn't like moderate or heavy protein anymore.

I use a big, heaping handfull of conditioner. I was thinking like a teaspoon of SAA would do it?

Is that too much or too little?

What are your SAA mixes?

When I used SAA, I would use about a Capful into my Conditioner. So yeah, IMO: A Teaspoon sounds good.:yep:

A Capful is about a Teaspoon.:look:

Cool. I thought a teaspoon/capfull might be too much.

Thank you! :)

hold off! i'd use a few drops. when i used to use keracare humecto, i'd add 2-3 capfuls to the entire tub! that's 5 pounds of conditioner! on a per-use basis, you only need a couple of drops; a capful definitely seems like too much :yep:

for an 8 oz bottle of conditioner, i'd add a capful. hope that helps :)

BTW: this chart shows the recommended concentrations for various proteins. silk proteins shouldn't consist of more than 2% of the conditioner formula.

I only add a few drops also, Neith. A little goes a long long way when it comes to SAAs. Overdoing it has never harmed me, either, but my hair does not seem to be protein sensitive.
