From what I understand cones seal moisture out of the hair leading to dryness & possible breakage, but many here use cones without any problem. I think the key is to clarify & moisturize your hair often. I try to keep the usage of cones to a minimum, my hair isn't to fond of cones. :ohwell:

ALL my staple products dont have cones. the cones in pantene products drove me to the hair boards 2 years ago and ever since i stopped using products with cones, my hair has become healthy and i see some progress. it coats your hair and doesnt allow moisture to penetrate the hair strands. its make hair shiny and look good temporarily.

Tp prevent any kind of buildup, i use a clarifying shampoo once a month

What brand of cones do you use. I have been looking for one. Aren't they good to help streach between relaxer?

cones are ingredients in hair products. look for stuff with amodimethicone, and anything that ends in "cone". that should destroy....errr...help you stretch your relaxer touch ups.

For me, cones are not bad. I've never had a problem using them. For you, it may be different. You won't know if it's bad for you until you try it.

Then again, you may not try it and see that you need to add something to your regimen, which may be a product with cones. You may try it and like it.....
