Nope. I think as long as you chelate or clarify every so often, you should be okay.

I have been meaning to try silicon mix. I am going to my local BSS to see if they have it.

I like both conditioners, but I tend to go back and forth between the two. I don't like to use the same conditioner for a long period of time. I also love the Once en Uno.

I use both, actually I use them together to DC, they are great. I get A LOT of slip with Silicon Mix, the only thing that can detangle my hair when I'm 12 wks post....., and the smell is yum! too.....

Silicon Mix ingredients

Ingredients: Water, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycerine, Citric Acid, Cetrimoniun Chloride, Dimethycone Copolyol, Cyclomethicone, Keratin, Ceramide, Diazolidinyl Urea (and) lodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance.

I could do without the mineral oil, but it leaves my hair soft and I've been using it for 2 yrs with no problems.

The ingredients may be comparable (not sure about MMP), but that w/b where the similarities end. IMO anyway. That being said, I loathe Motions so maybe I'm biased.

I read in another thread that for Dominican products the ingredients might not be listed in the order of quantity - that is to say there might not be as much mineral oil in it as it would seem with it appearing 2nd on the list.
