http://www.watersticks.com/shower.htm anyone heard of or tried this?? I can tell a difference in hair growth with soft and hard water. Everytime I move back home where there is a water softner my hair thrives in leaps and bounds, but when I move out to an apartment without the water softner to hard water my hair starts braking and gets dull with no shine.:nono:

yes, my cosmo teacher always told us to STAY AWAY FROM HARD WATER lol!!! The buildup on your hair is ridiculous! So while im @ school in the dorms, I just keep my hair weaved up or in braids...I love my hair too much! lol

I know for a fact I now live in much harder water area than I did previously , the evidence is, the mineral deposits in the toilet bowls, the brita drinking water filter not lasting as long etc

But for 10 months I am having no major issues with my hair , just still doing what I usually did, CW'ing, and Oils ETC.

Ive heard about hard water for years and what it can do to hair, and here I am now and I am just trippin' that its not giving me any major issues.......so far that is

Gosh................THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! I was looking into getting a water softener a few months back but all the ones I saw were all so expensive and huge! this one is perfect!!!

According to the map, my area has soft water....:nono::nono:. I purchased the iwater shower filter system this past week and will try it for the next 6 months and if no improvement purchase this.

I have hard water even though the map says my area does not. I learned that you can still have hard water just based on the pipes into your neighborhood and/or home.

I do have one of the Shower Sticks, but I have never installed it. LAZY!

I need to do that because I did pay a small chunk for it.

Normally I MUST use chelating shampoo (Kenra is a staple) everytime I wash, but I hope the shower stick will eliminate that need.

I even have to use distilled water to wash my face. Everynight I actually warm up water from the jug of water I purchase and wash my face with it. The hard water in my house has made eczema on my skin unbearable and hard to treat. Prescribed meds would not even help. I did not see imrovement until I started using distilled water on my face. Still cannot believe I have been suffering for 10 years with this all because of hard water!

We've been putting off a whole house water softener and it looks like it's gonna be another 6 months. This is the perfect alternative!

I'm ordering one!

ETA: DH veto'd it. :(
