I was reading a thread where PikiNiki said she used the Jonathan Showerhead and gave a positive remark about the benefits for her hair and skin.

I'm thinking of buying one b/c a couple of days ago, I entered the bathroom and it reeked of chlorine...not a good sign for my hair/skin.

I remember visiting family in Richmond and when I took a shower the difference in the water was remarkable (I'm from DC). It was just so refreshing.

Anyway, if you use/used one, which brand, where did you buy it from and give a review please! TIA!

ETA: That's Richmond, Virginia...I forgot that there are other Richmonds in the US lol.

The SO thought I was crazy for installing one, but a few months ago it broke and I wasn't able to replace it right away...my hair was getting dry and tangly, my soaps didn't lather properly (I use the ones from chagrin valley) and my skin was getting dry.

Got a new filter, and it took a few weeks for my hair to get back to normal, but I will never wash my hair without that filter on!!!

Thanks for replying.

Wow! What brand do you have and where did you get it from?

ETA: If you don't mind, how much was it as well?

no problem! it's a G&E filter that I got from home depot, it was about $25 or $30 and the replacements I think were $10 last time I looked? I'll find a link for you.

Remember that you need plumbing tape when installing any type of filter...well one that screws onto your shower :)

This is the replacement cartridge...

I bought the "Vitamin Shower Filter" made by Vitashower from Amazon.com for $44.94 since December 2008. I completely forgot about it until I read PikiNiki's post about her shower filter. I immediately installed it this morning  I have noticed my skin is smoother but I haven't had the chance to wash my hair. I'll review next weekend when I get the chance to wash my hair.
