transitioning styles:
box braid extensions
big flat twists w/remaining ends strawset (done myself)
flat twist updo (the messy bun was a strawset picked apart to look like a natural puff... but i had a little mishap by the time i took the pics)
cornrow extensions, wet and wavy hair
1st year natural:
flat twists w/twistout puff (done myself)
cornrows up into a ponytail, w/phony pony
2nd year natural:
cornrows up into a ponytail...
...w/phony pony
box braid extensions done w/wavy-curly hair - didn't like them very much

box braids, no extensions. this style came from the above style, i just took down each extension and re-braided the section of my natural hair (done myself)
mini-twists on dry hair, added gel to make them stay (done myself)

MissNappyLady - She used regular synthetic kanekalon hair. The ends were razored and dipped in hot water.
