Oh my, is that all you have to say - no reggie. What was your starting point? Your hair is amazing/gorseous - you must have a secret you are not sharing. Please tell us something ... Are you relaxed or natural?

Sorry! I didn't meant to neglect your questions.

I'm natural and my hair is fine/curly (though I think my texture has changed over the years). My mother kept me in pigtails and when she handed the reins over to me I kept my hair slicked back and bunned for many years. My hair grew during this time but I had it pulled so tightly that it really damaged my nape. I'm still trying to get that area up to snuff and I've always felt so insecure about it. I've seen some inspiring progress pictures here so I have high hopes for healthier hair.

My mother bought a Maxiglide a few years ago and I began straightening every other week. My ends started getting crispity-crunchity so I cut them and went back to bunning. I bought a Sedu last year and we've been very happy together. As for styling: I wash, condition, apply a heat protectant/leave-in, dry my hair and flat-iron once a week. Even after all that I still wear my hair in a loose bun most of the time.

I tried wearing my hair in a curly ponytail last summer but that didn't really work for me. My hair also wasn't very enthusiastic about co-washing.

I'm still in the process of formulating a product regimen but two things that I know I'll be consistent with are the Joico K-Pak Reconstructor (for use as needed) and Smooth 'n Shine Silk 'n Sleek Straighten Butter before flat-ironing. I'm also itching to start deep conditioning with heat.
