So, as my siggy notes, I've been natural for 7 years. I grew my hair out to APL, then locked. In May I decided to cut my hair for a new start. Anyhow, my first goal is full shoulder-length. I see a lot of different pictures with what people are calling shoulder-length and was just trying to get a feel of when, on average, people consider hair to be shoulder length.
I tend to consider shoulder length to be when the air hanging on the sides of the head reaches mid-clavicle (the area of the collarbone that is "dipped" downward towards the ground) and when the hair in the back reaches an equivalent length in the back (imagine taking a laser pointer and shining a light from mid-collarbone through to your back).
What do you think?
Disclaimer: We are all different and have different opinions. I'm not trying to pin anyone down into any particular definition. I'm just trying to figure out what the general thinking is.
