Relax or baby my hair? I want to transition and have not had a relaxer in almost 6 months, this was unintentional but school kicked on and my reg fell off so now I'm battling breakage btwn the two texturized, mainly at the top and aroun my hairline. I want to transition but don't want to BC my longest portion is btwn SL & APL while my top is severly damaged. I went to a "natural" salon the other day to inquire and was basically told I was dumb for wanting to relax then transition because I "already have 6 months of NG"...so I'm torn should I relax then start stretching taking the proper care or should I continue to stretch and baby my hair?Sidenote...Im a poor college student so I can't afford to just get it braided or weaved on the regular to let it grow out that way.

bump come on hair gurus I know someone can guide me in the right direction.

I would suggest you baby your hair. If you really want to transition, I say stick it out. You've come this far. Hang in there. :yep: Can you wear low manipulation styles? Maybe you can bun?

Hey Shay
I don't like that salon telling you you were dumb for wanting to relax it. but I would baby it. Are you trying to go 100% natural eventually?

Baby your hair. Six months of new growth is a fantastic start to transitioning. Good luck!

Thanks...I think I will try and tough it out I just have to combat this breakage...I do want to go 100% natural by next year.Oh and u can believe after her calling me dumb she'll never get my business.
