Hi all,
As some of you may know I have had lots of problems with tangling. I have solved most of these with the help of a few great conditioners (Aussie moist, Pantene Frizz down). However, I realized last night that my hair tangles 4 inches out from the scalp. This is point where two different relaxers meet so that is what I am attributing it to. I think the hair may be different diameters or something. I wore weaves over the winter and prior to this used Dudley's Mild Relaxer. After I took the weaves out I used Avlon Fiberguard mild. Do any of you guys switch relaxers? If so has this happened to you? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? I was thinking that I would have to go over the post weave hair with Dudley's mild. Please help. TIA

I know that this is overlapping but I when you change relaxers, you are supposed to overlapp during the last 3-4 minutes of processing so that the hair will have the same texture all over.

I had a corrective relaxer done and it really didn't do that much. It corrected the problem - some. With me I think the change in my hair texture is from changing relaxers, relaxer strengths and/or even doing my own touch up versus having it professionally done. Eventually, once I kept getting my touch ups professionally done the hair changed, but only slightly - and over time.

The problem with getting a corrective relaxer is making sure that your hair doesn't get overprocessed while trying to correct it.

Thanks Nita and Karezone, more opinions wanted please.
