Should I do it?!? Advice Please

Ok so I've stopped with the sew in's and I'm trying to work with my hair. The only probably is my hair is really thin , so I am wondering should I cut my hair short and go from there, or just work with what I got?!? My curly styles never fall right and it was brought to my attention that it might be because I need a trim or my hair needs to be shaped...how short should I go?!? Thanks for any advice!!

If your hair is healthy, I'd say keep as much as possible. IMHO

Girl my hair is in a mess...my edges are thin, and the front is perm straight because I use to use soooo much heat when getting sew ins....shame but now I know...I def need to cut that part short and regrow it lol...who would have knew being natural all ur life u would not have anything to show for it lol

Maybe, you can start adding Jamaican Black Castor Oil to all of your products for thickening. Maybe you can trim in increments vs cutting it all off at once.

I may get jumped for saying this. But, just cut off the raggedy ends. I was in your situation and decided to chop it off and my hair looks so much better...and you dont want the ends to split up the hair shaft...

I don't know much but here goes..It's all about what your comfortable with.Before you cut decide how you style the new length. Before you cut,explore every possible avenue to help your situation,if you haven't already. I saw someone just posted a possible thickening recipe for fine thin hair, I've been reading up on henna and it's thickening agents and castor oil. Like I said I'm still new at this (yes, even though I've been here awhile) and just giving my opinion.

LOL I'm not gonna jump u I'm new to dealing with my hair and I've been using castor oil...so we'll see where this takes me...my beautician acted like she was scared to cut my hair when I went to her to take out my final sew in lol she said stylists (mostly black) have a bad rep for having heavy hands when it comes to cutting and trimming hair erplexed so she really didn't cut anything

Okay....If you "really" trust her And I mean: "really" "really" trust her I would ask her to evaluate the ends (or the amount of damage, unevenness etc..).

Then, I would decide for myself what I wanted to do.

But if I was "unsure" and it kinda sounds like you are: I would strart with a gradual trim or a search & destroy and try to even things out a bit. See how I like working with that first, how it looks, feels etc...and then go from there.
