Short or Long

Hi Girls,

Let's have some fun...

I went to a family function last weekend and this was the first time my family saw me with a weave. My cousin stopped me to say...."I liked you better with short hair." It didn't bother me, but just opened that door of curiosity...... Does short or long hair suit me better?

I love my weaves because of the versatility of styles and makes me look more mature. I'm creeping to SL, so it won't be a huge loss to return to my short cuts.

So, I started this poll...what do you think? Keep growing or go back to short.

If you want long hair I say "grow on". The option of cutting your hair short will always be available. Deciding to grow again takes all the time and patience. Ulitmately you have to do what's best for you.

The choices are not really fair. The short hair pics are of your real hair, and the longer hair pics are weaves. Maybe what your cousin really is saying is that she prefer to see you "wearing" your real hair. Some people are like that. I wore my wig during my last trip to Jamaica, and my friends hated it. I looked good with the wig, but they hated the fact that I was wearing a wig.

When you reach APL or BSL redo this post. Keep growing .

Well, you know I had just PMed you about that hair. I thought it looked really cute in your avatar and very flattering. I personally would suggest growing your hair and if you like short hair you could always wear short wigs/weaves. I know I have a couple of short wigs myself, but i know that ultimately I want to grow my own hair long.

I LOVE YOU SHORT HAIR!!! lol but hey I think i'm being a little bias I love short hair and I think your face pulls it off well. Not many people can rock a short cut with confidence and look fly at the same time. Long hair is great and I would love to have it some day but I'll always have a place in my heart for the short hair divas!

You can rock the short or long hair look. You look cute as a pixie with short hair and your eyes are framed and look so pretty. But I think you look just as cute with long hair but in a different non pixie way.

Could it be that your cousin just isn't used to seeing you with long hair and wanted you to go back to a more familiar look?

I really like the short hair pic's you look so young and fresh! I wish I looked that good with short hair. However, if you want to grow you hair out, Im sure you will look flawless with long hair as well!

I think you look younger with longer hair too.
I also like both, but I also do agree that it's hard to discern since the long haired pics aren't your real hair, so we can't know hoe you'll really look.

I kind of think you'd look good with long hair the color of your short hair pics, and with a side part, but not necessarily a bang.

Well, since you asked. I actually prefer your short hair too. I think its more flattering. I actually remember thinking that to myself one day.

But of course, it could be the idea of the longer hair wig thing thats throwing everything off.

I say continue to grow your hair out. Thats what I'm doing. I prefer my shorter hair I think I look cuter with it but I won't "really" know until I grow my hair out. I don't think wigs give the full affect.

Thanks ladies for your honesty. This was fun to read.

I agree with many of you...kinda hard to really judge with the weave thing. It will be better to compare when my real hair grows out. I miss my short cuts, but willing to try something new. My hair has been in a weave for 11 months, so it will be interesting and rather shocking for some when I finally let my hair down for the general public to see (maybe next spring/summer).

I think I will take one of the ladies advice and try the weave bob thing.

Oh, my cousin....I think you're right. She's so use to me in short hair and probably want me to go back to a familiar look.

Never thought I looked younger with the long weave.

keep growing. my mom had her hair short forever, then she'd try to grow it out then cut it again. Eventually she grew it back out. So i say grow it, because later on you'll just want it longer eventually..might as well do it now.

Too funny. I think it took me 5 months. If you are doing Megatek, it will take a shorter amount of time.

i love the curlier long hair on you; the last long hair pic is a'ight. The short cut is very cute too but IMO when ppl say that they "like you better with you hair short" they are really talking about liking you without weave. If you grow your own hair out to the lengths in to weave pics they'll probably be on hands and knees begging you to tell them how to get their hair as long and beautiful as yours. I say this because some friends and my SO always trip when I put a weave in, but soon as I come home after getting a trim to my own hair, they're like "dang, why you went and cut our hair again?"

Yeah, you're right. We'll see what they say next summer.

I miss the curly hair already. I'm thinking of washing it tomorrow and bringing back the curls.
