How do you apply your moisturizer? And how do you apply it so you don't have maximum shrinkage. I washed and moisturized my hair last night, and I don't remember WHAT I did, but the way I applied the moisturizer made my hair shrink so much! It looked like I had done another big chop! What are some ways to avoid this? TIA for any responses.

hmmm. My hair doesn't shrink when I apply moisturizer. It shrinks when it dries. I just put a quarter size in my hand and massage/rub it through my hair.

Did you notice the shrinkage the next day when your hair was all dry? If so, your hair is going to do that. (a side effect of being natural)

does anyone know techniques so we can help legslikewhoa and those who are experiencing the same problem?

My hair never shrinks when I add moisturiser, but I use a cream and little bit of Aveda Anti-Humectant pomade. Are you using more of a liquid(-ish) moisturiser? You may want to ease up on the amount of moisturiser you use or maybe try something else?

mmm good question ...I dont think of shrinkage honestly because its in the nature of the hair to shrink however to avoid shrinkage you can always go with naked hair. Now regarding the moisturizer What I do is I put the product in the palm of my hand and apply products with my palms not with my fingers and shake a bit. If you want to apply the moisturizer w/o shrinkage ...the best way I could think of is to do a twist out or braid your hair in cornrows and unravel them when dry to stretch the hair a bit.

Ok this happend to me. Did you lay down or put your head on something?
I put on moisturizer and then took and nap and woke up looking like i BCd.

I normally put my stuff on in the shower though b/c the added water seems to give me the most hang time.
