Please excuse this stupid question. /images/graemlins/blush.gif My brain went into neutral earlier this afternoon. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif I assume your friend was a man? /images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I went through 2 bottles of Shen Min and then one of Fo-Ti (the herbal equivalent). I didn't see any effects from either one. None, nada, zip. I was extremely disappointed having spent $36 each on the Shen-Min. The Fo-Ti was much cheaper but did not work either. The Bargello routine was much more effective.
<font color="blue"> I tried a bottle of shen min. I have 2 pills to go. mmmmm in terms of growth ......I'm not sure. I definately have a lot of roots. I'm due to get a touch up in December. I'm going to ask my hairdresser if she notices more growth.
I haven't blowdryed my hair or wore it down for amost 2 months. That's why i can't comment my growth yet. I've been hunting trying to find the perfect vitamin so i can cut down on the number of pills. I'm thinking of trying "country life maxi hair" (if i can find it in canada) or Hair force.
I haven't grown a beard nor did I get any extra acne /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
I am currently taking Fo-ti. Mainly what this herb does is extend the growing phase of each hair strand. To how long? Not sure. But less shedding has occurred I must say. I think MSM does the same. I don't think it takes alot of Fo-ti either. If one wants to continue, just take the Fo-ti and not the Shen Min. I agree it is too expensive.
The difference between Shen Min and other hair vitamins is the He Shou Wu root powder, also known as Fo-Ti. Two Shen Min pills contain 870mg. You can get this herb at a chinese grocery store for not much money.
fo-ti=he shou wu pian shen is just a brand name
there the same thing
Yes I used to take this all the time, it does work esp well with all the other good haircare stuff like a good reggie, good diet etc... Like somone else said it just extends the growing phase of hair it doesn't make your hair grow faster, you'll need other vitamins, oils, or techniques for that.
I haven't bought it cause that and the other special hair vitamins were getting too expensive, but I'm ordering it for the fall/winter IMO that's when the growth phase slows down or pauses.
