For those who use it, how do you use it and what has it done for your hair?

I just started using it. I used it when I ran out of twisting cream. I also use it as a moisturizer after I wash my hair.

i use it in a number of ways.
- combine it with other oils & butters to make homemade hair cream/butter.
- use it straight from the container when my hair is very dry.
- use it as an alternative to "hair grease" - using it the same way people use grease.
- make deep conditioner with it or add it to deep conditioner.
- butter up my hair with it and use it as a pre-shampoo treatment.
- its fantastic on dry ends.
- use it to slick my hairline back (using it like gel.)

wow thanks...bumping for more shea users

I recently just started using it, but I use it for my two stand twist. It helps keep my hair well moisturized.

anyone know how to mask the smell? I like it but the smell is killing me.....

I use Elasta QP Mango Butter. Is the smell kind of old and tarnished to you? I don't know if if was Walgreens because it was old or the butter?

it depends on the brand name. i have the Kemi 100% oure and i don't like the smell, but there was another brand*can't remember the name and it smell great, but was more expensive>kerryann

I used it a lot when I wore my two strand twist out. It leaves your hair unbelievably soft.

For those of you who don't like the smell have you tried refined shea butter?
