Ok i just brought me some pure shea butter(ABOUT TIME) for 5 dollars. This kind is all sticky, yellow, does not smell good either. Now tell me you all how i should use this to moisten my hair. Thank you

i just apply to my hair..a very small amount because a little goes a long way...

last night, i washed, conditioned..then applied some to each section of my hair and plaited up. my hair is supa soft today.

A good way to use it, if it's kind of grainy and stiff is to melt it down in 10 to 15 second intervals in the microwave or use a double boiler and then whip it with a hand mixer till it's nice and fluffy. It should remind you of creamcheese icing if you do this. This makes it really soft easy to apply. You can add essetial oils to make the smell more pleasant, if you so desire.

I just take a pinch and rub it between my hands until it melts into a thick liquid, then apply to hair.

I melt mines down in small bowl placed in pot of hot water, I add a 1 tbl spoon of coconut oil, a tsp of vegetable gylcern, jojaba oil about tsp, pure aloe, vit e, and lavendar and whip till creamy smooth. (I let it cool down before I whip it) I call this my very special shealoe.

Ok. thank you all. I took some dollar store Pure Olive Oil and some glycerin, bout a t-spoon, and put it in the microwve and melted it together, got out a fork and then whipped it all up and then i let it sit a lil bit to thicken back up, when it did thicken up a lil bit i put it in my hair. I cant say if there is a soft benefit going on cause i have braids in so i cant really tell until after i take these out. I AM going to use this on my skin cause it IS soft and has a nice shiiiine(esp. since i put in the olive oil)

Just be careful on the skin. a little goes a long way. I had so many blocked pores when I tried this.
