I've never heard of it but what is your review on it thus far?

I used it yesterday for the 1st time and did a flexi-rod set, today I have soft bouncy curls. I like this product so far esp. since I don't have to seal after using it since it has coconut oil right up there in the ingredient list. I'll have to re-review after I've used it for about a week or so.

I'm excited for your update. I've been searching for a good moisturizer for me and my daughter. If you're happy with it, I will definitely purchase it just to give it try.

Ok so I used this 3x this week on dry hair and once on fresh co-washed wet hair, either way I like it. It keeps my hair soft and moisturized. But if you're heavy-handed tread lightly :lachen: cause if you use too much you'll have greasy hair.

I bought the same moisturizer last week and I like it alot so far. The ingredients seem pretty decent since the coconut oil is high up on the list and the iffy stuff is near the middle or end. I've only used it on flat ironed hair so I'll see how it works on my usual wash n gos. A little goes a way with this just like luving me said so be careful, otherwise I like the texture and the moisturizing properties. The smell could be nicer or stronger but oh well at least it isn't nauseatingly tropical.

I just saw an ad for this along with other products in the May issue of Essence. The line is called Roots of Nature Remedies by Softsheen Carson. Shea butter and green tea is the base for all of the products. They have a triple repair hairdress, stimulating scalp oil, and a reconstructing deep treatment in addition to the moisturizer you mentioned. I'm interested in the restructuring deep treatment. Off to find out where else they sell this stuff because Walgreens is not that close to me.

I picked this up last weekend from Walgreen's and have been using it for the past week. I had been looking for a new moisturizer and thought I'd give it a try and so far it seems to be working just fine for my hair:grin:. The smell is not that great, but it's not horrible either.
It makes my hair soft and you don't need to use a whole lot..it doesn't make my hair feel weighed down or anything.
The consistency isn't super creamy but it isn't super watery either.... it's somewhere in the middle.
I just got my relaxer last week...so I'll see how it continues to work for my hair in the coming weeks, but so far it's a keeper.

Also, I went to Walmart last night and they had the whole line. In Walgreen's I only saw the moisturizer and the hairdress I think. The other's have mineral oil in it I believe..that's why I didn't bother trying those.

:sekret: ....

I think it's strange that the decided to play up the shea butter aspect when it has more of almost every other oil in it....

I've been noticing soybean oil used as a base in a lot of products lately...it must be pretty cheap...has anyone tried using it undiluted?

I bought the hairdress yesterday and so far I love it. It leaves my hair soft, moisturized and it didn't weigh down my rollerset. A little goes a long way. Doesn't feel greasy at all.
I'm five weeks post retouch and between that and my new leave in I look like I have a fresh touch up. I put some on my edges and brushed it in, no naps. If this keeps working I could stretch my relaxer beyond 8wks. I also used it on my daughter who has dry, frizzy hair. It also moisturized her hair well. So far it's a keeper. I want to try the deep conditioner too.

I ordered the reconstructor from Beauty of New York. I didn't see it in Target or CVS around here. Never made it to Rite Aid or Walgreens.

I like this product too! I bought the other hairdress also...the thicker one in the jar, and I use them both. I use it on airdried hair and when I baggy. Leaves my hair really moisturized. I also got mine at Wal Mart.

I have been looking for a moisturizer with ceramides that did not have protein in it so this oil moisturizer looks great. (The other products in the line did not have ceramides unfortunately.) The price is about $6 in Walmart. Has anyone found it cheaper?

Bumping this old thread.

Went and picked some of this up today at Walgreens. I just put some on my hair and it's left my hair with great shine and very smooth. It does feel a little heavy but that dosen't bother my coarse 4a/b hair. Tommorow will be the true test....I hope this dosen't leave me with a crispy mess in the morning.

I'll be back with an update....
