Today my sister came in for me to blow her hair out.... shes been fully natural for about three years now. Id washed my hair earlier and let it air dry so you could really see my new growth (its about seven months worth). She was like ooooh, let me see how much you have, then laughed and said if you plan on cutting in 2011 you gonna look like a 1920's flapper. Meaning Im not growing hair fast enough to meet my goal. I was put off because I was sooooo supportive when she BC'd and had a short haircut. I have about an inch and a half of new growth right now. Ive read thats normal, about how much do yall get in about 6 months?

when I was 7 months post I had abt 3 in
everyone's hair grows diff

and your hair is pretty long already so don't be hurtb:)

I don't think she was trying to be mean. In 6 months I get 3-4 inches depending on the season. I'm sure you will have more than enough hair to chop by June 2011. You should have 3-4 times as much hair as you have now by then.

Awe:bighug: well hey if you want a more substantial amount of hair for your BC, maybe that just means you should transition for longer:yep: no biggie or you can just do a long term transition instead.

Your growth is what it is so anyone else growth in the same time period is irrelevant if you wanna speed things up then maybe you should look into taking vitamins:yep:

Oh Laaawd..yall had like three to four inches. Im gonna be ********** then because i think ive just grown a little over an inch. Awww man

I thought two years WAS a long time. I will look into taking some vitamins because i havent taken any in years.

at 7 months post i did not have that much new growth. you may get fasater growth once it gets warmer though. don't let her make you feel bad. she can worry bout her own head. ♥

I'm currently 6 months post and I have 3 inches of new growth, the average growth rate for hair is about an half an inch per month. However I would love to have your hair length now with the inch and a half of new growth because I'm tired of wearing wigs !

you may have more ng than what you think. i know when one of my friends was going to transition (she punked out) she appeared to have like an inch of ng but her hair had grown about 3 or more inches. it was because the 1st couple of inches right after the relaxer was a different texture than what she called ng you know.

I've been transitioning for 7 months also! My hair is weird and different parts grow at different rates. The back is def. the slowest coming in at 1.75 in, whereas the middle is a full three inches! It varies, you know. As far as vitamins, girl, be careful... I was taking 5000 mcg Biotin from Nature's Bounty for about a week and I broke out. It doesn't happen to everyone, but I suffered. I stopped taking those and am now on the Rite Aid Hair, Skin, and Nails formula. Good Luck!:look:
