Hey ladies!

I know some of you are probably sick & tired of "relationship talk" :giggle: , but I came across some videos by Shay the "Date Diva" on youtube, and I must say...I was so impressed! :yep:

This woman really seems to know what she's talking about when it comes to men, relationships, not getting played, and how men think.

She has tons of videos for single women and how to be a D.I.V.A. .

Divine
Intelligent
Vivacious
And a challenge!

I like her videos so far. I can't get enough! Most of it is stuff I have already learned from some other relationship books geared towards women, but it's just cool to have someone actually speaking it. She's funny, and I'm learning a few new things too. She's very encouraging and tells it like it is.

You can check out some of her videos here that I thought were pretty nice:

"Men Are Simple"

"Should a Woman Pursue a Man? Or....Buy Him a Drink?"

"When Will He Propose?"

Check it out! ;)

I LOVE Shay. She is super sweet and intelligent. I started watching all her videos after my last relationship ended. I can give her much credit for 'wising' me up towards men and relationships.

I even emailed her for advice and she got right back to me. She is very encouraging and keeps it real. :yep:

When she first started, she was newly divorced and looking, and just recently she got married. So she definately gives someone like me hope. :)

Yep I agree! I just happened to stumble upon her videos, and I'm so glad I did! I didn't realize she had been divorced before. It's nice to see that she is now married again and looks happy. I think she made the videos for a lot of women because she must have gone through something herself.

I just can't get enough of her videos!

I also like these two that I just watched:

"Losing Your Soul To a Man" (I could definitely relate! Man...getting over heartbreak can be tough!)

"Are the Odds Against Black Women of Finding a Husband?"

Yes, and I think she has two children. Boy and a girl. And also a book. But I love how she doesn't push her book on you. She pretty much tells it all in her videos. Some of the stuff is hard to hear, but it's what some of us need to hear, and its so true.

It's not about some mumbo jumbo she makes up. Its reality and worth the watch. :yep:

*Subscribed* I at first didn't see the point of Youtube outside of music videos from days gone by..lol. Now I watch it all the time to see what other folks are doing be it relationships, make-up, etc. She seems really sweet and genuinely looking to offer whatever advice she can. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for sharing Shay's videos, I hadn't come across her before. I subscribed and I'm gonna go back and watch them. It sounds like you ladies got alot out of them.

Yeah, there is soooo much great info out there. I particularly like hair and makeup tutorials.

Oh yeah, I've subscribed too.

I love her, she's really genuine, honest and smart. I bought her book, I definitely recommend it! :wink2: Sometimes you just need to hear somebody else verify what you know is right...

So true! So true! Some of what she says may be a tough pill for some women to swallow, but it's definitely needed. So far, everything in her videos just reaffirms what I have been learning from other relationship books and from my own personal experiences with men in general. It's just nice how she breaks things down and makes things straight forward. She really seems like she's trying to help other women out here.

You can definitely tell that she knows her stuff. :yep: I could tell that she has definitely read "The Rules", "WMLB", "WMMB", and "Mars/Venus" just to name a few...

Plus, I love the interviews that she does with the men. :eyebrows2 Some of their comments are pretty interesting to say the least! lol

Yes girl, now I look on Youtube for a multitude of stuff. You'll be surprised what you find on there! There's like a video "tutorial" on everything! I'm surprised Youtube hasn't started to make people pay for a subscription or something! All that free knowledge and video right online.

Yes, definitely! So, how did you like her book? How is it different from her videos and other relationship books? Just curious... :look:

Exactly, listening to her makes me feel like I'm sitting with my gf in the living room just chatting. :yep:

I've been watching her vids for over a year now, I feel like I'm shay...lol

I have two friends that I share all her info with, I know sometimes they hate when I keep drilling her pointers in their head, but I made the same mistakes and don't want to see them keep doing it.
One thing I benefited from is when she said stop telling ALL your business when you meet a man. I tell my friends all the time, stop saying your last man cheated, didn't spend time, didn't buy you gifts, because the new one is just taking notes on what he can and cannot do based on what you put up with in the past.

I love when she said: just tell them it simply didn't work out and we decided to move on. Now when I say this, men automatically back off and stop fishing for information. :yep:

I liked her book because it was really realistic and had lots of tips about how to meet men, where to go, and how to get them to approach you. Her videos have tons of tips, but her book broke everything down into details. She also gives a money back guarantee if you don't find love within 30 days of using the tips, you can get your money back. I'm on day 15, and I'm having a problem choosing between two sexy, successful, wonderful men that both might be the one :lick:

Love within 30 days??? That's quite a guarantee lol.

I saw a couple of her videos.... they seem nice. :yep:

I subscribed to her channel today. She makes a lot of common sense. Anyone know where I can download a copy of her book?:look:

Did yall see the one with EJ? He is GORGEOUS

Yes! And he was not only gorgeous, but he was articulate, and seemed like he had a pretty good head on his shoulders. I liked the way that he explained things about men. :yep:

What did you all think about the one with the white guys?? :look: Very interesting! I like that it seemed like she did a lot of research and interviewed a wide variety of people in order to back her claims up.

Whaaa?? For REAL??

See, now you all are going to have me out buying yet ANOTHER relationship book! :wallbash:

So her tips really worked eh? Was it just that you were doing things a LOT differently? Or, were you expanding your horizons and going different places to meet men?

Yeah...does anyone know?? :look:

I couldn't find it to download anywhere, that's why I broke down and bought it from Barnes and Noble. My cheap butt spent $18 on it :spinning: But $18 is worth the possibility of future happiness, right?

I love her! "When have you seen a deer go up to a hunter and say shoot me?" LOL LOVE IT!!!

Hey ladies...check it out!

Here's one of Shay's newest videos for the new 2010 year!!! View it here: 2010: A New Year For True Love!

I found it very inspiring and encouraging!

I can't wait for this year to really take off... I just feel like "something's in the air" and is coming right around the corner for me very soon!

i like her voice

makes some good points....on the don;t settle for less than you deserve please know that alot of women are in situations really because they think what they are getting is what they deserve deep down....stop fooling yourself and be real with yourself and truly assess what you feel your true self worth is...fronting is not the energy that the universe is picking up on, its your inner true feelings that it responds too...

if you feel unworthy trying to pretend you don't and resisting addressing this issue with urself will only ensure you keep getting situations where you are treated as such...when u accept and acknowledge these feelings as they are without judgement or thinking you are a bad person for thinking this NOW YOU HAVE JUST ENTERED INTO A VIBRATION OF LOVE...you won't go from thinking you are worthy and deserving overnight, but just the fact that you stop fighting and being mad at those feelings and judging yourself because you don't feel differently and want to change them and know that worthy and deserving is what you will focus on will now bring people into your life who will help you get over them and show you what it feels like to be treated worthy and deserving of greatness vs those who responded to all the negative energy that was being carried around those deeper issues and feelings
