Ok so here is my dilemma: I've always had long hair (mbl or bsl the shortest) but stopped blow drying it straight over a year ago to maintain healthier hair.. HOWEVER, satin caps and braids don't work if I want to strip tease before bed! Come on ladies help me out? Can I be natural and sexy at bedtime???
 
Lmao.. Yea but damn middle of the night.. Early morning wake up loving.. I guess I just felt sexier with my str8 tresses.. Not goin back there tho
 
OP you can always find a pretty silk scarf to wear during playtime and once you put him to sleep slip that bonnet back on.
 
A silk pillow case should be able to handle a little...ahem...movement every once and a while.

I don't have a silk pillow case but I have a huge silk scarf that I wrap around the pillow when I feel like having a "discussion" with the hubs.
 
If your hair has some texture to it, you can do a braid out, but just put it in a loose top bun. Sleep on a satin pillowcase. You can yank it down quickly for sexy hair, and put it back up quickly later.

Both of these will work after he is sleep the braidout is a quick and easy "too tired to style" sleep style
 
I do like my curl pattern but u know I'm learning how to protect it at night that's all.. But I like a little kink in more than my hair!! Lol

I asked the same question early on in my hair journey! When I finally got tired of 45 min in the shower detangling after every "discussion" with my man, I set rules
1. silk pillowcases if I'm laying on my back, preferably with my hair up in a top bun
2. hair can be loose for any other "pose".

he loves my hair straight and curly so he's lives with the rules .. for the most part. Sometimes life happens!
 
The only solution and I have asked this before is the Satin pillow case because I don't care how pretty the scarf is you still not going to be sexy. You can have the most prettiest bonnet and still look someone grandmother or someone who got a lot of kids and let themselves go lol. I don't think it's nothing wrong with a guy admitting its not attractive, when your getting it on you don't want a tissue stuck up his nose because his nose is continuously running. You visual has to be nice to get in the mood

uhhh Im tryin to figure out how to say it. From my experience, the hair is preferred out of the way. tied back, tied up & not holdin up the show
Maybe there men with hair fetishes they need the hair styled a certain way to..... uh yeah...... but I havent met that man...

For me sexiness is state mind rather than a hairstyle or an outfit. U can have it in a high bun, a ponytail, two pigtails, a french braid & yes even a bonnet or a scarf & for a man who is attracted to u, its goin down.

Now if u need your own hair a certain way for you to feel comfortable enough in your sex appeal, I cant help u with that one.
 
I don't worry about it because I stay on top to alleviate any friction between the bed and my hair... He's happy. I'm happy. We all go to bed with smiles and no SSK..

I used to do that, but it got to a point where I said, "either you're going to have a sexy girlfriend at night who will be bald in a few months or you'll have someone with hair you love that you can play in during the day. He's still not 100% down but we're working on it

JBunnie, Now thats what Im talking about! I told DH I can look good during the day crazy at night or vice versa, his choice lol. Unfortunately, we have a 3 year old we cant get out of our bed (free birth control--barrier method bahaha), so sadly I dont have the same problem as OP. A sister sure wishes she did sometimes though lol. ***off to google, how to get your child out of your marital bed*** :lachen:
 
Wish I had found lhcf long before now. I spent the better part of this past year having marathon sessions that frequently included me on my back about 5 days a week (new guy, couldn't restrain myself). Took me ages to figure out why the middle of my head was breaking and then was gone clean clean! A braidout done on Transitioning hair with 2 very wild people ain't gonna last past 10 minutes!!! And it sure as hell isnt attractive when ur done! Nappy sweaty roots and permed ends sticking up all over the place. Dreaded trying to comb my hair afterwards.every bit of moisture was gone, hair was breakin off in my hands. carpet fibers are the devil!! Silent killers! Way more than the sheets!!!!! Had to BC last month to save myself.

I forgot why I just typed all this.... Smh
 
Ok the more I read threads that involve DH's or SO's the more I see ppl post about him compromising more than them thats sad.

Here's a happy relationship alternative.

1. Buy a silk pillow case.
2. Wear your hair in a french braid an hour or so before play time.
3. Let it out for play time. Sexy waves.
4. Spray leave in condish, comb your hair, rebraid, and put on your scarf and bonnet.
5. Round 2? He just gonna have to deal with the bonnet. You still have the silk pillow case.

Let me clarify.. Noone is worried about what my hair looks like but me.. I mean do u want to go see a stripper with a granny bonnet on? Lol I don't! It's healthy to feel sexy inside and out for me anyway.. Whatever your opinion I appreciate all the feedback!! :-)

Exactly!! Lol! I don't care what kind of bedroom skills my lady has the bonnet has to go lmao.. I don't want her putting on a show for me with her braids crossed over in the back either.. Smh. So far I like satin pillow case and braids before bed
