This thread is for people who are serious about doing a challenge. I am serious about an MTG challenge this time. I will not let myself down, and if I even think about trying to give up the people on LHCF have the right to beat me up.....

Everybody else in this thread must make the same promise.

I am serious about my no heat challenge, heat free since 1/5/05 w the exception of trying to use a flat iron once....didn't work. :( 6 month no relaxer challenge- 1 month to go.... Double whammy challenge- Suge/ mtg use....and last, but not least, the stinky challenge.....sulfur8, glover's, wgo, and msm powder as my prepoo. Whew, a lot of challenges! ;)

Okay, I'm committing myself to an "All-Natural Challange". I'm getting rid of all products containing sulfates, mineral oil/petroleum, parabens, urea, DMDM.......etc., etc.,

I just bought a boat-load of all natural shampoos, conditioners & moisturizers. :yay: :yay: I just hope I'll be able to afford this challange. All-natural products do not come cheap. But, I know it's better for my health, so I'm sticking with it.

That going to be a real hard challenge, because I know you have PJism. Just send all ur products to me. I will keep an eye on you.......

Well whenever my Mtg arrives i totally plan on sticking with it, and my no heat and no relaxer until x-mas, Ive been heat free since the last half of July, and 12 weeks post relaxer. So lets keep eachother motivated because i am so0o tempted to get a relaxer right now or at least run a hot comb through this new growth. Good luck with your challenges!

the idea of using natural/organic products is a good one, because it will limit the number of things you can buy. in a normal beauty supply store anyway. online is a whole different matter! i wanna cry everytime i see a bottle of john masters shampoo, or a max green alchemy conditioner.

Try it and I will :spank: ......
you can go another two months without one....

I would like to join you Divine.

I pledge the following challenges:

1. Nightly MTG soak under plastic wrap with botanical essential oils. (Followed by morning rinse out. )

2. Daily Condition Wash

3. No heat ever. (except to seal deep conditioners ...which is helpful, not damaging).

I can't do a relaxer stretch. I need a new one every 6 weeks. Well, I'll try to go 8 weeks, but that's it. I'd pull my hair out stretching. And I don't think stretchers experience more growth do they? They just cause less stress to their hair while losing sanity, right?

Synthia, if u have to relax every 6 weeks, be prepared. With mtg use, your relaxer effects may be even more temporary. That's what happened with me. My hair is very thick and relaxer resistant, so maybe it is just me.

 I'd LOVE that! I'm recovering from some breakage and had to cut several inches off "my good side" to try and even up. I am anxious to grow out and thicken my hair again.

I just got my MTG last Thursday (Oct. 13) and have only been using it 4 days. I'm a bit skeptical. I'm used to my hair growing but I'd love some accelerated growth to make up for the breakage. I'm so ashamed I damaged my hair from pure neglect (I wasn't washing or condition washing it for two weeks at a time. I skipped deep conditions and moisturizing. I used heat). :( But I'm back on my discipline now.

I will join you in the MTG challenge I'll be relaxing tonight/tomorrow and I will be able to see progress really good. :)

It helps to clarify and stop MTG use 2wks before relaxer day or at least 1wk, some has had good relaxer results from doing this. HTH:)

I've got a few challenges going on that I am serious about. After I saw the results of being on the baggie challenge for just one month (i got a relaxer yesterday) I know I have to keep it up. I've been pretty good about the baggie challenge, the no heat challenge and the vitamin/water challenge (whew!) so count me in!

I am trying MY BEST to stick with the MTG challenge for my 3.5 inch middle and edges... The smell is just so annoying and embarrasing, though!!!
But I'll be da*ned to keep going on with APL hair and these short spots!:angry2:

I am going to join this challange. I am going to use my MTG consistantly and I need to take my vitatmins consistantly. I have a bad habit of starting the falling off the wagon a month or so later. But I really plan on sticking with the MTG challange would for my thin sides to thicken up, and really want to see what type of progress I get from MTG by Christmas.

Hey girls!

Well lets see...im on the "waistlength by 2007" challenge, im subjecting myself to my own personal "4 inches by the end of the year challenge" the "Mtg challenge" and the "baggie challenge" im thinking of doing until 07' to keep that moisture up after the mtg because for some reason it dries my hair out....

The waistlength/4 inches by the end of the year challenge is definitely going better than first anticipated..Ive gotten two new inches due to the mtg and im definitely going to keep that up..the hair that used to come right above my breasts is now starting to hit my breasts and go almost past because of the occasional mtg..that SMELL is f*ckin killin me lol although I noticed the results for me are better if the mtg is plain and potent and when I mixed it, it did nothing good.

I always need a lil whip crackin to keep on that mtg and baggie challenge..i need to start mtging like 3 days a week maybe 4..and the baggie after twice during that time to soften the new growth..im thinkin with that help lol:lol: ima be MORE than on my way..lol

I pledge to the following challenges:

:) MTG and a moisturizer daily

:) Shampoo at least twice per week

:) Hair vitamins daily

How many of the ladies that opted for the MTG challenge actually followed through and what do you want to share? Did it make a significant difference in thickness and growth? We do hear from some of the ladies, but the rest...WHERE YA'LL AT. LOL? bONJOUR

I mean the ladies who were talking about MTG for so long>I know some of you on this thread recently posted. Bonjour

My hair is so0o puffy now, every day that goes by Im thinking of perming or pressing my hair. Is there anyway to make your hair post relaxer less puffy without using heat? Christmas cant come soon enough! lol

@ Ms Mahalialee4, i would be glad to post on my sucess of failure with MTG, but unfoturnately it's taking forever to get here. But i checked to see if it was shipped and it should be comming on the 26th, so once i start using it i will totally fill everyone in!
