I just flipped past the Wayne Brady show and I saw her with mid-back hair that looked really nice. I'm assuming this is a weave. It looks really natural. Perhaps a fusion weave? How is that achieved? I thought bonding glues were bad for the hair.

serena with a good weave?

I was wondering if anyone was going to respond! Yes! I was shocked too. I'm used to seeing her in those raggly microbraids! LOL!

Fusion weaves are supposedly the most dangerous for the hair and the most natural looking too. The take a small section of your hair (think about the width of a micro braid). They apply some hot glue to the weave hair which is not attached to a weft and they attach the weave hair to the real hair rolling the the glued part in their fingers.

One of the ladies here on the board had gotten a fusion weave and it killed her hair...I'm not sure what her name is, but I think she's a professional bodybuilder or something

I wonder how much hair has to be cut off once the bonded hair is taken off?

I never had the fusion. A friend of mine had a fusion weave and it WRECKED her hair. She had really pretty hair to begin with. It was sad. She is still trying to recover.

her hair looked nice, very soft looking and She is coming out with her own clothing line, I thought it look very nice, Am not going too say any more

Wow. I haven't seen it, but I LOVE Serena so I really hope the weave technique doesn't damage her hair.

I remember seeing her pics when she picked up some Surge for me, she's such a sweetie...thank goodness her hair has recovered from it.

I have never understood this. I wore weaves for years and might again at some point, but they were always sewn in. Even in my darkest days of stupidity about haircare, I was never that crazy. I mean, GLUE in your HAIR?

That is right up there with the urine in the hair thing.

Well, maybe not that bad.

The fusion weave can be very, very damaging to your hair. You can't imagine how much hair can come out as a result of this process. It can be a complete mess.
