I looked up Lunar trimming method. Just thought for those of you who trim or dust, I'd pass this on. I don't know what to think of this method and what the science behind it is. Anyone know?

I could have sworn someone started a thread about this with details. I'll look and see if I can find it.

Since the New Moon occurred on 9/8, I began trimming my hair on that day and started reading more about the whole moon theory of getting faster hair growth.

I read that the best times to trim hair are when the New Moon is in
Scorpio* (October 23-November 22) New Moon on November 6, 2010
Capricorn (December 22-January 20) New Moon on January 11, 2011
Pisces* (February 18-March 20) New Moon on March 4, 2011
Taurus (April 20-May 21) New Moon on May 3, 2011
Cancer* (June 21-July 22) New Moon on July 1, 2011

*These are water signs and are considered to be the best time to trim hair when there is a New Moon

So, basically every two months (the month that is missing is when the New Moon is in Virgo, and is the next best fertile time to trim; on August 29, 2011)

I will trim my hair on the days a New Moon occurs, but I'm still trying to figure out how trimming my ends can send a signal to my scalp to make my hair grow faster. The moon is more magical than I thought :abducted:

When I was a little girl my grandmother would cut out this section in the newspaper about hair. It didn't come out often but it would tell you the best time to cut your hair for thicker hair; the best time to color; the best time to do other chemicals. It was based on the the moon.
