September 2007 Feature of the Month - Mochamadness

Congratulations, mocha. You're a lovely lady and have beautiful hair. BUT I do have a bone to pick with you:From the pics your hair is just about touching your tailbone!
Do you have a goal for growing your hair longer, or are you going to maintain at your current length?

Girl, I'm not even about to claim tailbone yet!! My final goal is to grow to tailbone and maintain it there. I'm going for blunt ends at that point.

Your hair looks beautiful and healthy:spinning:. How long have you been growing it?
I've been trying to grow it for years w/o sucess. After finding LHCF 3 years ago, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, tweaked a few things and it's been all good ever since.

your hair looks great! Absolutely fab!:yep::yep:

What length were you when you started three years ago and did you ever think your hair could be that long? Thinking maybe it was like that when you were little.

Once again, your hair is breathtaking:blush:.

I have another questions to ask you regarding your hair:yawn:. What hair care products do you use? I especially want to know what kind of moisturizer and sealant you use daily.

Thanks again...

What length were you when you started three years ago and did you ever think your hair could be that long? Thinking maybe it was like that when you were little.

I was about armpit length when I started three years ago. I was suffering from some breakage in the crown and my ends were a little on the overprocessed side.

Girl please, I would have never in a million years thought that my hair could be this long in my lifetime!!! It was something that I always dreamed about growing up, but thought that it just wasn't in my genes since no one else in my family had long hair and also since I've always tried and tried and always suffered some kind of setback time and time again. After finding LHCF, I realized there were some important things in my regimen that were lacking and preventing me from having the hair of my dreams, such as products and techniques that didn't work in my hair's best interest. Also the lack of protein and moisture which was causing most of the breakage and splitting that I experienced in the past. Once I worked on these issues, my hair flourished.

When it comes to hair products, I'm a notorious cheat!! I'm a lover to many, but not really exclusively faithful to any  Some of the products that I'll always have on hand are Kenra MB poo and conditioner, Aubrey Organics conditioners, Elucence MB conditioner, lacio lacio leave in(one with mink oil) salerm 21 leave in, and giovanni direct leave in (revisited hit)

For moisturizers right now I've been rotating ors carrot oil, ors olive oil in the jar (formula w/o mineral oil) and mizani nighttime treatment. I'm on the hunt for a more natural moisturizing alternative, so once these are finished, I won't be repurchasing, though I have no complaints with either one of them, they are all good products :yep:

For sealants, I like to make my own oil mixtures consisting of all natural oils w/o the additives. Some of my favorite oils for sealing in moisture are meadowfoam, castor, shea and avocado to name a few. The only commercial oil that I currently purchase is vatika oil, but that too consists of all natural ayurvedic herbs and oils and I love it.

Yay!! I'm so happy you are Feature of the Month Mochamadness!! Congratulations!! Your hair is so beautiful!! :yep::up:
I thought I posted here already but I don't see it (must have been thinking it)

Your hair is absolutely beautiful! Your regimen contains wonderful tips as well. I think I'm going to adopt your diluted shampoo idea :)

Diluted shampoo in a spray bottle? It's brillaint!! I've always tried to avoid putting direct shampoo on my strands anyway!! Now I can! Thanks :)

I tell you sistas I am still working on it you all are really some inspirations and make a sista realize it can happen just keep working on it... how long did it take you to get your hair to this length here in the pic? Month or years? I love the thickness of it too plan beautiful.:yep:
