What semi-permenants are you ladies using to cover greys? Do I need to go permenant to cover greys?

The ones that have worked for me are:

Sebastian Colourshines
Clairol Beautiful Collection

You don't have to go permanent if you don't want to.

I've used Clairol beautiful and now for the last six months I've been using Sebastian. Sebastian lasts more washes than Clairol and I do like Sebastian better. But when it comes to greys neither one do what I would like them to do. I'm looking for permanent results without the harsh chemical of a permanent dye. I wash twice a week so they do not last as long as they would for someone that washed less frequently. Bottom line nothing except a permanent color will get rid of grey hair. Which I refuse to do since I have a relaxer.

Thanks for the suggestions. I picked up Loreal demi-permenant color and have just colored my hair-it seemed to cover the grey pretty well. I did leave my hair feeling kind of dry so I'm doing a deep condition right now.

This does have some peroxide, correct. Did you have to mix it?

The Loreal Colorgems that I used did have to be mixed, but it was no ammonia. I don't see peroxide listed in the ingredients. After a deep condition my hair felt back to normal. If I remember correctly, I had dryness when I had a demi before, I think its the depositing of pigment that locks out moisture for my hair after the initial rise, but a DC restores my moisture balance. It should last about 28-30 washings. I'll see.

The best thing I've found for covering grey is the Bigen powder color. It lasts longer than the clairol rinses. MOst of my grey is at the hairline so a lot of times I just apply the color there and just wash it off.
