Selling Ring To Fund Divorce Filing

I am really contemplating selling my wedding ring to pay for my divorce. What do you ladies think

Why not? If you are definitely going to get divorced, you will not want the ring anymore anyway.

Thanks ladies you are both right and those were my thoughts,just wanted to throw that out there! The marriage it self was not worth a darn,but hopefully I can get something for the ring!

No not really,but it's a really nice diamond. I thought about making ring for my right hand!

I understand (even though I've never been married).

It's really a matter of personal choice. If you want to reset it, you should. Selling it to pay for the divorce is still a great idea.

I kept my other wedding jewelry (necklace, earrings, bracelet) for my daughter.

How much do you anticipate the filing to cost? I did my divorce myself pro se and it only cost me $263 for court filing, 61 days and a wake up call.

I still have my rings both the engagement ring and wedding band. The set is currently appraised at $9,500 but I know I won't get anywhere near that for them...so they are taking up space in one of my lingerie drawers. I have no intention of ever wearing the materials again in any shape or form...I honestly don't know what to do with them. Donate them to a charity and get a tax write off?

I was going to keep mine for my kids, but I was thinking, would they want rings from a marriage that ended in divorce? Hmm, I think I'll get them valued.
