I have a question. How do you keep from under processing the crown? My hair there is a different more coarse texture. Any advice? HELP! :perplexed

I usually start my relaxer process in the crown area as this is my most resistent area to relaxers as well. I always start relaxing the crown first and it seems to work for me okay.

Have you noticed a thinning of that area over time?

For me, it's my thickest section. I divide my hair into four quadrants and start at the crown, but start on a different quadrant every relaxer. For example, if I started on the top left quadrant last relaxer, I'll start with top right this relaxer.

This is what I do too, in fact, if I start at the top left one time, the next time, I'd start with the right bottom, etc and keep alternating starting points to avoid over-processing of a specific area.

It's hard, because you can't see it to see how it's processing.

My crown can take ten more minutes than the rest of my hair, when I'm using Mizani BB FC, and I am still finding a comfortable amount of texture that I can leave in and still work with it in a low-mani fashion.

Just showing support for your dilemma. Sorry, no answers!
