For those of you that have used both, which one do you feel gives the best results? I would like to submit this as a poll but I don't know how to do it.

I have never used a fhi but i own a sedu. In my opinion a sedu is not for a 4a/b woman with coarse hair :nono: If you are permed you should be straight.

Well I am relaxed, okay texlaxed, and it did NOTHING for my hair. I like how light it is, but it did not straighten my hair at all. Maybe it works for those with bone straight hair or something. It did not for me.

FHI is perfect though.

I read the reviews on folica and decided to order the sedu 1 1/2 because it was on sale and then I heard good things about the fhi today from my neighbor.

You know it's so hard to tell. You almost have to just get one, try it and see what works for you. It took me 3 tries to find what worked for me. I had a FHI and it burned. It was the one with no temp control, though. I tried the CHI and it was okay. Then I tried the tourmaline Sedu revolution and I was blown away by how well it worked on my hair. I don't see me ever using a different iron.

And I'm a 4a/b, texlaxed.

I have a FHI Platform and it is the bomb! It's temperture control, which is great. It gets my hair straight especially new growth without extreme temps (I can do it at 330 or lower). The FHI Platform goes up to 450, but I don't use it that high anymore (learned the hard way...). And I'm a 4a/4b.

You may not be using it right because I get great results whenever I need to straighten my natural hair for a trim. If you rollerset or use pik on a blowdryer you should get good results. . but then again maybe it just didn't work for you.

I recently purchase a FHI and I'm pleased with it. I've only used it once. I'm still curious if my results are as good as it gets. I'm tempted to purchase a SEDU to make a comparison.
