Second Chances

Lucille, In my experience, sometimes you have to let certain people go. I was listening to a Pastor explain it as floating in a river stream. You want to get into the right stream so that you can get to the right places.

When I got saved, I let 90% of my friends go; including a bestfriend of over 8 years. It was definitely hard. But, I don't regret it. The Lord is taking me to new places, because I removed myself from that stream :)

Lucille Hi there.I will be blunt bc thats just me.One thing you have to do is analyze why you do what you do.For instance why party? Is the attention spirit in you that desires its hit or do you just enjoy the feeling of dancing and others. Why drink is it to drown out sorrows or is it for the taste etc.For me in my past I had to come to the realization I did certain things bc I liked the feel or the attention it gave.

You will fall so get that now.At times you have to fall alot in order to get the understand of things.Sometimes you have to lose something in order to see what your doing.

my 10 year old nephew always complains about how hard it is to stay saved because of the children at school etc., ect.,

my advice to him is don't let the children or any one keep you from God and cause you to go to hell, at the end of the day we all have to face God for ourselves, telling Him that children at school caused you to sin, just wont cut it...

Trust me, there will always be people trying to hold you back even those who act like they won't....will. Continue to pray and try to find like minded people which I find is extremely difficult but is needed.

I find that when you choose to go down the path you are suppose to at first things get in your way to try to stop you but if you keep at it it gets easier and easier. I think its good to have some type of support system. Doing it alone is never easy. God will put people in your life at the right time to help you if you ask for it. Remember there is nothing to difficult for him.

Lucille, every day is a struggle for most of us. I have to pray every morning for strength and remind myself that without Christ I cannot do anything on my own. I bind my mind to the mind of Christ and I bind my will to the will of God every day.

Hang in there!
