I was listening to my favorite nutritional advice show and the nutritionist said that people suffering from thick yellow dandruff --------I know, YUCK!
So weird that you would post this. I have suffered from SD, prior to my hair care journey. Once I began testing various vitamins (incl. Biotin) I noticed that ALL symptoms have ceased. I recently tried the shampoo by NEXXUS but this product is very recent and my scalp has been cleared for over six months now. Very interesting. Thanks for the info.
I suffer from this too. I'm not sure what has cured it b/c I changed alot of things around the same time. But I think it was Coconut Oil(internal) and or a combo of that and a shea butter spray.
I have had Seborrheic Dermatitis for years but I could not understand why its gone away this year.
I added Biotin to vitamin regimen and flaxseed oil so that explains it Thanks.
I thought daily co washes and oiling my scalp kepted it in check,
Thanks Vevster, very interesting. I have seborrheic dermatitis and my dermatologist prescribed Nizarol shampoo and it's the best. If SD goes untreated it can result in hair loss.
I wish I had know that biotin was a remedy when I had it. I had to end up going to a dermatologist for a remedy. Luckily I have not had any more episodes but when I had it I was miserable because most of my thick hair fell out because of it. Since then it has never been restored to it's natural thickness
i have had sd for years and have seen many doctors.I even had cortizone shots in my scalp.(not a good look)
finalyy i tried coal tar shampoo.it works pretty good.however once in a while when i'm having a stressful week it could flare up a little.i'm going to use the biotin and flaxseed oil.i get sd on my arms sometimes to and use a topical ointmnt.I think it is healthier to heal from within.
