Quick question. I'm purchasing these after work today and I wanted to know...

1) Can the 2+1 be used weekly (like AO GPB)?

2) Are these products designed to do the same thing. Meaning, would it be a waste of money to have both of them /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif ?

3) How do you use each? Meaning 20 minutes, plastic cap, under dryer...

TIA

I recieved Penetraitt after my last touch-up. It reminds me of Aphogee, I would only use it every 5 weeks.
The stylist used it the same way you would use Aphogee, she sat me under the dryer for 20 minutes or until it got hard without a plastic cap

I never tried 2+1 but I have used Penetraitt for 2 years. It does get hard, you go under the dryer for about 20min. and I like to lightly shampoo mine out, a hairdresser actually advised that Penetraitt be shampooed out, then use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards.

Thanks guys...
so nobody uses the 2+1??? /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

Actually Webby uses it. I've used it in the past but not correctly. She posted the correct way to use it. You should send her a pm. From what I gathered it would be two different types of treatments.

I don't use the 2+1 right now, but I have used it in the past. Weekly use is fine. I would use that weekly, and Penetraitt monthly. Penetraiit is the stronger of the two, gets hard on the hair like Aphoghee and should be followed by a mois cond (Feria or Humecto from your rotation).

What is the normal price for penetraitt? i saw it (downtown) for $28.00 /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Pls tell me it's cheaper than this elsewhere **biting nails**

I use 2+1 only when my hair is healthy (this is what my stylist says).

She told me that it should only be used once a month or every other month, as it's a very strong protein. My hair always felt soft after using it and combed out quite easily.

I used to use the flat-iron method with 2+1, but it takes FOREVER. The stylist taught me a trick...apply 2+1, then wrap head with aluminum foil, sit under dryer for 20 minutes, then rinse and follow the rest of the instructions.

I did prefer the results after applying 2+1 and flat-ironing, but when you have long or thick hair, it's just really a time-consuming mess.
