Seamless Combs

VK1K,

Heres an old thread about them...I have a post on the first page that may help out for those looking to spend very little...Matter or fact I have a few posts in there. But the entire thread is very informative on the benefits....Ina a nutshell... The seems in a regular comb slice your hair like a razor. The area where the mold meets and creates a teeny tiny seem between the teeth...

I still have my hairsense bone combs.
They are all I use when I need to comb.

For those that use the Magic Star or Hercules Sagemann combs which do you think is better to use after using the Magic Jumbo/Mini Star Rake?...

The Magic Lady Star:

Or The HS7370 Contour Comb:

They both are dual purpose and can be used for both Step 2 & 3 after using the wide tooth Rake for step 1

On first glance, The teeth appear longer on the Magic Lady Star ... the teeth seem a little further apart on the HS7370 Contour Comb...

Any ideas ladies? :look:

How can you properly detangle with such a large spacing between the teeth? My curls and coils are too small to be fazed by the mini rakes at hot combs

I actually didnt get a large one because i cannot effectivley remove shed hair with wide toothed combs. Instead i remove the shed hair while finger combing in the shower and use a wide toothed raittail comb to remove the rest of the shed hair.

I have both Hercules combs and hair sense combs. I definitely prefer my Hercules combs because they have a little give. I need that with my natural hair. I am probably going to give away my bone combs to my nieces when they come to visit in 2 months. Weekly I use the mini star rake because like many the full size is a little awkward to maneuver especially in the shower and use the wide tooth pintail comb to set my hair in whatever rollers I am using. If I'm not setting my hair I just use the rake. I have very little tangles after I finger detangle with my prepoo and use the rake.

I vote for the lady star....i have it and ut works perfectly as steps 2 and 3

Lady star is great to use after the Magic Star comb.
I have hairsense bone combs as well, but have rarely picked them up since buying my Hercules Saggeman ( how ever you spell it).
My hair is medium fine and I didn't think it could work on my hair. I had a large Bone comb that I had to send back because it combed over my hair not through.

I bought it based on a suggestion from a beautiful member here and I don't regret it. I have more than got my money's worth; I use it at every wash. My greatest gift is that my son who is very tender headed and hates to comb his hair, combs it with no issues, he picks up the comb before he showers and he's no longer afraid. his hair is very thick, he has 5 people heads of hair on one head. I will soon buy him 1 of his own. I have owned this comb for over year honestly I just don't know how long. We are match made in heaven.

I have the bone cones and I noticed they didn't have much give. I have major shrinkage so I need the comb to give instead of asking my hair to. I will be replacing my bone combs with the Hercules combs when they have a sale.

I received my three new combs in the mail from hotcombs.net, yesterday. I got the mini rake, 696 and 1975. The 696 and 1975 were out of stock last month when I ordered the Lady Star and Jumbo Magic Rake.

I want to order three or four more combs, one for roller setting etc., but I feel like I've spent a fortune on combs in the past two months.

I used a Denman D3 on the left side and the Magic Star Jumbo Rake on the right side. I lost less hair using the Magic Star Jumbo Rake while detangling, during my co-wash on Friday night. :yep:
