after using a moisturizer on your hair- like s-curl, mango butter, or even water --Do you seal it in with oil? this is where I get confused

thanks in advance!

what i have been doing lately and it might be the wrong thing to do is that i've been using HHB and then using a petroluem based cocnut oil to "seal" in.

Yup I spray with water (to first get the moisture), then spray the jojoba, coconut, and olive oil (to seal it in). Soon I'll be spraying with water, then the oil, then applying HHB to my new growth.

I spray my hair with water and V05 conditioner, then seal the moisture in with ORS Carrot Oil. It works very well. It makes my hair soft and healthy and it looks a lot more thicker than it has before.

I seal it with oil after using a leave-in conditioner or distilled water mixed w/EO.

Yesterday I washed my hair and did the above routine but this time I put some setting lotion in my hair, put in a bun, and put on my soft bonnet dryer to lock it in. The bun is still damp but the slicked back hair is dried and is looking and feeling really good. Shiny and moist.

I mix coconut oil or almond oil with Giovanni's Direct Leave-In and put it on,wrap and the next morning shiney soft hair!!!

I also use Giovanni's Direct Leave-in or Nexxus Headdress all over the hair, put extra on the ends, and seal the ends w/ Keracare Essential Oil.

I use water and then mango butter.....mango butter has oil so I dont see the need to seal it in with more oil
