Ladies, I wouldn't get all worked up about the comments on that board. American Renaissance is a group designed to promote white supremacy... they're like a kinder, gentler KKK. (ha)

So the types of people who'd post on that board would definitely be racist. They admit they're racists and they're proud of it.

Don't waste your energy on them.

ITA. I laugh in the face of ignorance. And by the look of those posts there was plenty there to laugh about. I couldn't even be bothered to be upset about it all.

It's a semi-upscale department store. Think like Macy's, Marshall Field's and Hecht's. Not as upscale as Nordstrom or Bloomingdale's, but higher up than say, JCPenney (although I love JCPenney... that's my spot!)

I used to shop at Dillards when I lived in Florida (they don't exist in Michigan), but after reading about this and other discriminatory tactics they've been accused of, I'd be boycotting. I know I won't shop there whenever I'm in a town where they have the store.

I think its all in their approach. On one hand, I don't see anything wrong with charging someone more if their hair is longer. Straight, curly, wavy, whatever, long hair (and I'm talking BSL long) is a force to be reckoned with.

I only read page 1 and 4 so I may be repeating someone, but what about the white folks with super curly hair? What if its long? Do they get charged extra too?

this is all stupid and silly....they need to charge by the hour---that should solve a lot!
