Can anyone suggest a scalp rinse or cleanser that I can use after shampooing? THis sounds strange but ever since I've been coming to these boards I get vibes from my hair /images/graemlins/smile.gif And I think the condition of my scalp is telling me it needs to be thoroughly cleansed.

Pumpkin,

I use 4 ounces of acv (apple cider vinegar) mixed with 28 ounces of warm water. I shampoo my hair and rinse away all the suds, and then I use the acv rinse. I let this remain on my hair for a few minutes, and then I rinse and then deep condition. HTH.

There is a scalp recipe in the Curly girl book - you add Brown sugar to your conditioner and ised this to exfoliate your scalp. This is supposed to help with dandruff too.

Elyse doesn't the Sugar get caught up in some of the hair strands or does it all just dissolve away when washing out?

I think that this would still be safe for relaxed hair. When I use this method, I tinse very thoroughly afterwards to make sure that there isn't any sugar still in my hair.
